I know that March is a big month for basketball junkies, but it just makes me crave baseball even more. Don't get me wrong College basketball can be very exciting. However, it seems that you really only need to watch the final 5 minutes of the game. It lasts for a good half hour with all the timeouts and the outcome is usually determined.
I have played baseball throughout high school and college and have been coaching at the high school level now in Charlotte for the past 10 years. Growing up in New York you can only imagine the passion of following the Yankees and making it to a number of games each year.
I love living in Charlotte, NC but I really miss going to a major league ballpark. We do have the triple A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox (Charlotte Knights), but still not the same as the big leaguers. Anyway we are getting closer to watching the best pastime sport...baseball!
