I come from a health care/educational background and that gives me an extra edge in appraising as I have the opportunity to educate my clients in the appraisal process from ordering the appraisal, to the appraisal inspection, to the delivery of the appraisal report. There are many types of appraisals and it is imperative that I, as an appraiser, be educated in the methods and techniques of appraising, as well as stay aware of the market trends that impact value in the real estate market.
