Hi!
My name is Beatriz Martinez, I am an owner and Associate Broker of Real Living Mountain Realty in Vail, CO as well as a Sales Associate of Real Living Properties in Miami, FL. I have always been somewhat involved in real estate and development since my father's corporation is considered to be one of the largest Residential Developers in San Juan, Puerto Rico (http://www.empresasvrm.com). I am originally from Puerto Rico, but went to school in upstate NY- Syracuse University and then moved to Miami. Lived in Miami for 13 years, finished my MBA at the University of Miami (Focused on International Business) and got married last year to a custom luxury home developer in Vail, CO. I love the Rocky Mountains, the lifestyle here is amazing, very beautiful and as a Realtor it offers me unique opportunities to work with the International clientele in the Vail Valley which represents roughly 5% of all transactions.
My husband and I, just signed a franchise with the Real Living Network. Considered to be the 4th largest real estate in the country, we are one of the first franchisees on the West Coast. Known for their agent-centric approach and 360 degree computer platform, we feel that there is an important "niche" of Gen X'ers and Gen Y's that we will reach with our new concept in the Vail Valley (http://www.reallivingvail.com). Our target market is the 30's and 40 somethings that come to Vail from International markets, mainly, Spanish speaking International markets like Mexico, Puerto Rico, Southeast Florida Argenting and Spain. Our clientele is composed of high net worth international individuals in their 30's and 40's that come to Vail and Beaver Creek every year with their familes and would love to own a condo, fractional ownersip or a home. We also just started building 4 luxury homes at the top of Wildridge in Avon overlooking all of the Beaver Creek ski slopes.
I have a beautiful duplex in Wildridge, Avon (5 minutes from Beaver Creek Ski Resort and 10 miles from Vail Ski Resort). I have a puppy boxer named Lena, 2 sisters and 2 nephews all living in Puerto Rico. Love triathlons, skiing, snowshoeing, films and gourmet dining!
My husband moved to Vail 8 years ago. He was a pro-skier for 8 years and competed in 2 World Cups. He started his real estate career almost 7 years ago with a lot of success. We have been working extensively with the market of Mexico, Miami and Puerto Rico. We have already sold vacant lots to developers in Puerto Rico, pre-construction residences at the Ritz in Vail, fractional ownerhsips at the Vail Plaza Club and timeshares at the Park Hyatt Residences in Beaver Creek. We have aggressive plans to expand our business, planning to open up a physical office by the end of the year and have 10 agents.

We definitely specialize in the luxury market. 90% of our clients are high net worth individuals that have been visiting Vail or Beaver Creek every year for years to spend Christmas and New Years, skiing with their families. They have finally decided that it is cost efficient to buy rather than to pay for a hotel or a rental every year. We also work with many high net worth individuals that have to invest a percentage of their capital for tax purposes. We present their alternatives depending on their objectives and budgets. We set them up with local real estate and coporate lawyers, we introduce them to local banks and even go as far as helping them reinvest with 1031 exchange professionals in Denver. We are fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
