Get To Know Eddie
I was born and raised in Horry County, here along the Grand Strand. I have been married to my wife, Julie, who was also born and raised here, for over twenty-five years. We love the area, love calling the Grand Strand home and chose to raise our family here.
My wife and I have both been in real estate for over ten years. We love what we do and plan on being in real estate for a long time to come. You have to love what you do in order to be successful and we have been very successful in our real estate careers and have received numerous awards. However, along the way, we have learned that the most rewarding award is family, friendships, clients and helping people achieve their dreams. We have met so many wonderful clients that have come to be such good friends in the past ten years. I know that putting the client first and taking care of their needs will be so rewarding and everything else will take care of itself. As with most realtors, they only think about the commission, we learned early on, that building the trust and loyalty of our clients is the number one thing. If you take care of the client, you will be taken care of in return. Experience is a key factor in real estate.
Having lived along the Grand Strand for over forty years and being a native of Horry County gives me the advantage of having the knowledge of the entire county and not limited to one or two areas as with most realtors that have moved here from other areas. This is a huge advantage to both sellers and buyers. No matter the area, I am familiar with it and can share my knowledge. Being a native of the area offers knowledge that is valuable to clients.
I spend a lot of money in advertising and marketing. I realize that you have to spend money in this business in order to be successful, reach buyers and get properties sold. I advertise on several websites, The Sun News, Myrtle Beach On Line, Homes and Land and other various print ads. The internet is the big key in todays market. Most buyers and sellers are internet savy and that is where they go to first when looking for an agent or looking at properties. Therefore, keeping a viable web presence is a must! Marketing and advertising is a key factor in both personal promotion and property exposure.
I listen to my clients. We have to communicate and work together to get properties sold or to find that perfect property. Whether buying or selling, communication is one of the key factors. I need to know what the clients feel and expect as well as letting the clients know what I need and expect from them. It is a relationship that must be open. Even though sometimes things might not be what we want to hear, I am a firm believer that I need to tell you what you need to hear....the truth, no matter if it is good or bad news. When the market it good, of course, it will always be good news. However, if the market is down, the news can be grim as well. I assure you that I will not tell you what you want to hear so that I can just get your business. I will tell you the truth and give you my opinion on the property and situation. Linda and I want to thank you for your hard work and patience in getting our place. We are truly looking forward to making it our own. We plan to come down for a couple weeks at the end of September to get the place settled. We also want to thank you for the donation to McLeod. That is a special hospital for us. On New Years Day 2007, we were at our daughters in Florence. She was near the end of her 5th month of her 1st pregnancy. She was not feeling well and tests indicated she was going to die if they did not take the baby immediately. She was rushed to McLeod for an emergency c-section. She came through fine. LIttle Cora was born 4 months early at 1 lb, 4 oz. She would stay in the neo-natal unit until she came home in April. She is now a healthy 2 year old thanks to McLeod. I'll attach a couple of photos of our miracle baby. They were just here for the 4th of July and we had a great time.

When we purchased our condo from Eddie and Julie, we were not aware of their relationship with the Children Miracle Network. So when we received the note saying the donation had been made to McLeod which had so already touched our lives, we were so pleased that RE/MAX had this program. We were already so pleased with Eddie and Julie's help and hometown courtesy and this was just icing on the cake. Certainly this entire experience would make us recommend or use again ourselves RE/MAX.
I had gotten on their listing email list only a few weeks earlier while in Arizona just before heading home to New York by way of my daughter in Florence, SC. On the way we contacted Eddie and set up a meeting. We were only going to be around a few days. They zeroed in on our tastes and after only a few showings we found just what we wanted.
