I am a Realtor here in the Pike's Peak Region (Colorado Springs). I've worked here for twelve years with my wife Jennifer. Jennifer is what you would call a traditional Realtor, she has over 25 years of experience (she started young) in real estate sales and finance. I on the other hand got into the real estate business just as the Internet was becoming something people actually used.

I am a huge fan of technology and I love what it has done for the field of real estate. We started our website www.SpringsHomes.com in 1997 and have consistently maintained a fully custom website since then. We have just created an IDX mapping section built on Microsoft's Virtual Earth in anticipation of further development of that particular mapping product and are looking to add more video content over the next year.

Colorado Springs is a city in a transitional phase. Our quality of life and generally mild climate make this a desirable location for those looking to escape some of the problems associated with the larger cities. On the other hand this desirability has pushed the population in Colorado Springs closer to that of a big city. Our market area is quite wide and housing choices are varied. These factors have allowed us to maintain a good quality of life and a healthy real estate market.

Our area is generally referred to as Colorado Springs but should more appropriately be referred to as the Pike's Peak Region. The entire region extends from Fountain Valley and the City of Fountain on the south to the Town of Monument on the north, Woodland Park and Divide to the west and Rush (no relation to the band or the conservative radio talk show host) to the east. So when moving to the Pikes Peak Regions it is essential to find an agent that has an understanding of all the different areas. Due to our fascination with this area and homes in general, we have live in eight different areas over the past 12 years. This has given us a very strong knowledge of different neighborhoods and areas.
