How many years have you been in Real Estate?
Over twenty years in different areas of the business. I've been in residential sales working exclusively with buyers for years but previously investment and property management.

What is the average home price in your market?
Currently in the $160k's. Distressed sales have driven this number down as we bottomed out last year

Are there any new developments or trends in your area?
The Sarasota real estate market hit bottom in 2009. Since then the inventory of homes has slowly been dwindling. This will eventually lead to modest price increases and we move from a buyers market to a sellers market over the next three years. Sarasota is HOT, so it is difficult to compare us to other parts of Florida or the nation for that matter.

Why do you enjoy being a real estate agent?
Being able to truly help people through the entire home buying process brings me the most enjoyment and satisfaction of a job well done. I am able to go beyond helping people find a home. The whole process, exploring Sarasota, it's islands and communities, is par for the course, even before I show the first home. So before being an agent, I act as a tour guide in a way, to ensure you find the neighborhood that is right for you, than we can start the home search!

Searching for Sarasota homes is both exciting and challenging at the same time. We are all limited by what we can afford. What is the most challenging issue you face as a Sarasota Real Estate Professional?
Problems in the industry are rampant now. New laws concerning appraisers and a tight credit market are some of the biggest challenges.

Negotiating is my specialty. It is a thrill to delight clients with not just finding the right home, but getting the best value. This is where I shine. Thanks to many years of experience and a fine-tuned education, I rarely find a worthy adversary!

Who or what inspires you the most?
Living in Sarasota, the best and most inspirational place I have ever been.

What is the best advice you ever received?
Make new friends and keep the old...

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I lived in big cities, small towns, Caribbean islands, Central America, and have traveled the world, but there is only one Sarasota!

Sarasota is a very special place. The worlds most beautiful beaches(Siesta Key Beach is #2 in the world), a plethora of restaurants covering every cuisine, the culture, galleries and performing arts are just a few of the reasons Sarasota has become of the most popular destinations in Florida.

In his spare time, William attended Chapman School of Seamanship and earned the 25 ton Master of Steam or Motor Vessel from the United States Coast Guard. Other hobbies include scuba diving, windsurfing, sports cars and boating.
