I am a native of Dutchess County and have watched it grow tremendously over my life time.  Dutchess County is a remarkable place to live.  It is right on the banks of the Hudson River with mountains on both sides.  Each season is gorgeous in its own right.  Before going into real estate, I was a high school English teacher for 20+ years.  This was great while it lasted, but I needed a change.  Real estate became the next love of my life professionally.  I am affiliated with Realty Executives in Lagrange.  I have gone the route from working with a large corporate conglomerate to a small independent agency.i have joined Realty Executives because I believe that "the personal touch" is the most important aspect of any transaction.  We give both buyers and sellers our undivided attention.  When I start out with a buyer I immediately find out what they need, what they want and what they can afford.  I won't waste anyone's time showing houses they either can't afford or don't want.  Everyone wants to feel important, in whatever they are doing.  This stays in the front of my mind at all times.  When dealing with sellers, I keep in touch with them on a weekly basis to share the good, the bad and the ugly of the previous week.  If your seller isn't contantly informed he/she can't make an intelligent decision on the sale of his/her home.  I like to think that I'm the force (along with the market) that helps drive any decision because I am the professional in the field; however, it is the seller that makes the decision and needs all information in order to do so

Residential Resale

I deal specifically with residential real estate, both attatched and detached in the area of Dutchess County within a 10 mile radius.  A am a licensed associate broker and hold two designations: ABR, SRES.

My preference is resale and I work with all types of buyers from the first time home buyer to the empty nester. I have sold homes at both ends of the spectrum and have many satisfied customers.  I also enjoy listing homes that have a tendency to be different, whether in the layout of the home itself, its location or the actual property it is on.

Whether dealing with sellers or buyers, I truly believe that their home is their treasure, not just an MLS number.

If you are in need of a Licensed and Qualified Real Estate Agent, I would highly recommend Margo Ramsey. Margo served as our Agent in the purchase of our new home in Lagrangeville, NY.

Our process of finding a new home took more than a year and a half, and through it all Margo kept our needs and goals for our new home foremost in her search, and never once let us think she was frustrated with our decisions. Even through the sale of our townhouse falling through at the last minute, in turn, causing us to have to retract a purchase bid in on a new home, Margo kept a positive attitude which really helped us get thru that great disappointment.

After the sale of our townhouse fell through, we decided to wait out winter in our townhouse and try to sell again in the spring, and even though Margo knew we would not be able to buy a new home in the winter, she kept in constant contact with us and even offered great advise on better ways to market our home (which we were selling ourselves without a broker).

And that we did. I knew it the minute I walked in the door- "This is the one", I said.

The house had everything we wanted and Margo knowledgably negotiated the price with confidence and determination and was able to get us our dream home at a price we were very happy with.
