A little about me...
Before I entered the Real Estate profession, I was a Yolo County Analyst and, before that, a Housing Analyst for Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency. With a background in Planning and Housing, I have knowledge of how to create subdivisions and special districts, as well as landlord and tenant rights. Furthermore, I have served on multiple labor contract negotiating committees.
Not all Realtors are Brokers. Brokers have passed the State of California Broker's Exam-- and it's TOUGH! To become a Broker, one must pass classes in advanced Real Estate topics such as Real Estate Law, Ethics, Appraisals, Escrow, and Financing-- to name just a few. In addition to advanced education in Real Estate, I've gathered skills learned in my previous occupations, especially analysis and negotiating. I have a college degree with a background in Social Work. This often comes into play since the home buying and selling process can be stressful. Recognizing how to help people cope with change and stress has been invaluable to my clients.
I am a continuing Sacramento Association of Realtors Masters Club Member, recognized for outstanding achievement in Real Estate. I am RETI certified (Real Estate Training Institute). A small fraction of active Realtors have earned this certification which offers in depth training in the following topics: Listing Agreements, Ethics, Offers and Negotiation, The CAR Purchase Agreement, Financing Programs, Title and Escrow, Natural Hazards Disclosure and Essentials of Structural Pest Control/Home Inspections.
My goal as a real estate professional has always been to help families find the right home for their lifestyle and needs. If selling, my goal is to get seller's top dollar in the shortest amount of time possible, with the least disruption to their lives. I want the buying and selling experience to be a positive one that leads to bigger and better opportunities. In other words, I enjoy helping people make their dreams come true! In turn, my dreams come true.

Debbie Davis: I randomly called Cari because she was the listing agent on a house I wanted to see. I was just getting serious about house-hunting and I hadn't really given much thought to what I was looking for in a real estate agent. My first meeting with Cari convinced me not to look any further. She had an obvious and extensive knowledge of and love for West Sacramento. As a first-time home buyer she was extremely patient in answering all of my questions and showing me a variety of properties so that I could hone in on what I was really looking for in my first home.
Most important, I felt like Cari had the home purchasing process well in hand. While I spent a good deal of time in the area I was living in the Bay Area and ended up purchasing my home during a time when my job was moving at an insane pace. Luckily Cari kept me on track and uses an electronic signature system that made it possible to do much of the work electronically and/or by fax. Ultimately my trust was well-placed when Cari discovered that my closing costs were much less than expected and the first loan docs would have meant I lost money in the transaction. Her attention to detail ultimately saved me money. I highly recommend Cari if you are looking for a home in the Sacramento area.

Stephanie Etcheverria: I recently bought my first home in West Sacramento and I had a great time working with Cari. I didn't know anything about buying or looking for a house so when my mom's friend's daughter who had just bought a home in West Sacramento spoke highly of Cari I gave her a call. I was really nervous and unsure about the process but Cari was quick to set up a meeting to go over the process, financing and cover any questions that I had. She asked me a lot of questions to get to know me and find out where I wanted to live and what I wanted in my first home. I had a long list of requirements and she was really patient every time I changed my mind or came up with a crazy request. Cari was quick to send me listings that met my requirements, which was great because she knows a lot more about the Sacramento area than I do. Cari understood what was important to me in my first home and I am so happy with my purchase. I never felt alone through the process she even came with me to sign papers so I didn't have to do it alone.
The first day I moved I was thrilled to see families walking around the neighborhood, kids on bikes and my neighbors even came over to introduce themselves! Kat Staker: Cari is a very personable, patient, yet aggressive realtor who really knows her stuff. Being a first-time homebuyer who had very little idea of she wanted, Cari asked a lot of great questions to help me focus on what it was that I really wanted out of my first home, and she was always quick to respond whenever I had any questions. Rohini Taneja and Satnam Rattu: My fiancé and I were both living across the country from one another and trying to look for our future home in the Sacramento area.
