Albany & Brownsville Oregon Real Estate Information
I came into real estate over a year and a half ago. I had been working in the new construction field as an office manager for a local, family-run company that has been in business for nearly 20 years. As their OM, I answered phones, created cost breakdowns, scheduled inspections, and did some of the accounting tasks that a business like that requires. I also have over 10 years of experience in the Direct Sales market, and have found that all the skills that I learned in that endeavor has only enhanced my experience in real estate.
I achieved "Top Rookie" status at Keller Williams Mid-Willamette in the Second Quarter of 2008. This covered the categories of Written Volume, Sales Closed, Listings Taken & Listings Sold.
Keller Williams is a unique real estate company, in that while we have owners for each market center (MC), the MCs are run by a panel of brokers called the ALC (Agent Leadership Council). These brokers are chosen from the top 20% of producers in the company. I was asked to be a part of the 2009 ALC that begins in January & am looking forward to serving my fellow brokers in that capacity.
I feel that our current market conditions have actually helped me in my business. Since I have never been a part of a "good" market, I have had to work extra hard to learn the right things to do. I am pleased with my production so far (though I am always aspiring to do better) and am encouraged & excited about my potential when the market turns around again. I work my professional business full time and consider it my career. I'm constantly going to trainings to further my knowledge and capabilities, and then putting what I learned into action, as opposed to taking in knowledge and then continuing to do things that haven't worked in the past. I am known in my brokerage as one who "thinks outside the box" and will take a new idea & "run" with it.
I have a great team of resources that I am in constant contact with, including multiple mortgage lenders/brokers, a stager, inspectors and other industry professionals. I have a transaction coordinator that I contract out with so that I stay on top of deadlines and legal requirements. In addition to networking with the other brokers in our firm, I also network heavily with many of the local real estate companies in Albany, and am well respected by my peers.
