At Casa Concept we travel the globe in search for new ideas for better living that apply to the diverse population that we claim in Houston. With 21 years of experience in high-end residential, remodeling and construction administration, Geraldina brings ample vision to her projects. Having completed in 2006 her first Green/sustainable and Energy Star home in West University Place in Houston, she proved that high efficiency homes are the standard for the future. Having placed the Casa Concept House in the West U. tour of homes, the focus groups that went through it gave testament to the fact that there is not enoguh intelligent housing in the marketplace, and that consumers want innovative options, particularly in the energy efficiency field.
Having designed her first AIA award winning house in Ojai Valley, Ca. when still a student at Rice School of Architecture, Geraldina went on, as an intern, to design the extensive remodel for the then mayor of San Antonio, Henry Cisneros, and later the interior architecture package for the home of the owner of the Houston Texans, Bob McNair. Geraldina has taught at the Rice School of Continuing Studies and has been design principal in her own firms, having recently incorporated Casa Concept to be able to design, produce and represent environmentally conscious solutions for the home, including 100% recycled mosaic tile from Spain, solutions for healthy water for the home and other thoughtful solutions for better living, available through the website, www.casaconceptdesign.com.
Presently Casa Concept has a 12 townhome project in the Heights that will be completed in 2008, and will be LEED certified, offering not only the best of urban living, but the first development on the hike and Bike trail, affording a lifestyle highly valued by Europeans and Latin Americans, but that hasn't been explored in Houston.
We look at lifestyle, architecture, interiors and sustainablility as a simbiotic aligning of personal and environmental values that with space and aesthetic, give birth to future-pertinent homes. We like staying ahead of trends, creating new ones that will stand the test of time.
