CATHY BUREAU’S EXPERIENCE

Cathy Bureau has successfully helped people with their real estate needs in the residential and commercial sectors since 2005. Her background in commercial launched with the launch of The Stabauch’s Company’s San Antonio office, as the Broker’s Assistant,which meant marketing coordinator, marketing research analyst, and everything else the broker didn’t have time to do, giving her a chance to gain expert experience in all facets of commercial leasing brokerage.TSC is a specialized office leasing consulting service recently acquired by Jones Lange LaSalle.Her time with TSC was part of a project with the University of Texas at San Antonio. Upon graduating with her Master’s, she entered Keller Williams Realty where she practiced commercial and residential real estate. When the KWR Commercial division was delayed, she went to TC Austin Realty Advisers, a commercial development group, and later NAI REOC Partners.

The various opportunities Cathy had in real estate, her education, and previous marketing experience, prepared her to obtain her Broker license and go independent.As an independent broker, she provides expert services in both areas.Cathy’s primary focus now is residential services, but still has passion for and services the tenant representation market.

Education, Certifications& Affiliations

Many of Cathy’s clients began asking questions about “short sales” and “foreclosures,” so being the professional that Cathy is; she initiated the NAR SFR (Short Sale and Foreclosure) designation to provide outstanding service and expertise.

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) commenced the GREEN designation to create a baseline understanding of green building offerings. Cathy found that to be quite appealing since her mantra is “Make the World a Better Place” derived from her Girl Scout Leader ideology so she obtained it in 2009. She learned about the Eco Broker Council a few months later and since it went much more into depth about the performance facets of building science, she also obtained that designation.

The Short Sale Foreclosure (SFR) Designation provides assurance that I am up to date on today’s distressed property concerns.This specialization along with my work experience provides assurance that I am able to help transact the most complicated scenarios.

The EcoBroker Council and National Association of Realtor’s GREEN Designations provide you the value added service of energy efficiency, sustainability, and indoor air quality consulting.This is especially helpful for individuals suffering from allergies and asthma, investors and those who want to reduce their utility bills or carbon footprint.

CATHY BUREAU'S PERSONAL BACKGROUND

My San Antonio

Cathy Bureau has lived in San Antonio, Texas since 1997 after many years of national and international travel by way of US Air Force dependency.  That experience created a multi-cultural interest and is truly representative of San Antonio since besides being known as the “Alamo City” is also known as “Military City.”

Cathy’s love of the city stems from the diversity of cultures that the originated in its historical settlement by the Spanish, Mexicans (originally Aztecs, Mayans, & a few other Native Americans) and Germans/Alsace.  The military presence of former Brooks AFB, Camp Bullis, Ft. Sam Houston, former Keller AFB, Lackland AFB, Medina Base (LAFB satellite annex) Randolph AFB, and the joint forces San Antonio Military Medical Center brought many other cultural dynamics in later years.

My Character

Cathy Bureau’s parents taught her at an early age to get involved.  Cathy is active in her HOA, Church, Girl Scouts, Real Estate, and Green Community.  She firmly believes in giving back to the community because it makes the world a better place, her personal mantra.

My Values

Cathy’s values are straight forward:  God, Family, & Work

Strong work ethics, integrity, and leadership characterize the way she endeavors all.  Because of this, dedicates Sundays to God and family, but is available every other day of the week to serve. 

My Off-line Time
