Cora Berkery began her real estate career in 1986 while working in the property management division for Nu-Med, Inc, a company that owned hospitals around the world. Berkery continued her property management tasks into other areas. She worked for Century West Development in Santa Monica, California where she managed 25 properties including apartment buildings, office and, retail centers. Later, she was recruited to Summerset Homeowners Association in Beverly Hills to manage two high-rise condominium towers.
In 1992 Berkery moved to Scottsdale, Arizona and secured employment very quickly as a property manager for a commercial property developer/owner, Commercial Properties, Inc. She managed properties ranging from industrial, retail, office and billboards. Berkery decrease vacancy rates to an average of 2 percent, increased the management portfolio by bringing in new clients and sold 5 commercial properties through the rigorous requirements of the resolution trust corporation (RTC).
Still eager to try something new, decided to sell homes for builders. Her training at the Hyland-Bay Company earned her the "Top-Gun" award and her choice of builders and communities from which to sell new homes. Throughout 6 years of selling new homes for 3 different builders, she gained considerable construction knowledge, attended several training seminars and, was nominated for a Major Achievement in Marketing Excellence (MAME) award. Berkery received numerous awards and accolades through the hundreds of homes she sold including several awards for being a distinguished high-volume and high dollar sales person.
In 2000, Berkery purposefully moved to Orange County, California. In 2004 she earned her associates of arts degree from Saddleback College and the Outstanding Accounting Student-of-the-Year award from the Wall Street Journal. Berkery recently (June, 2007) finished her final semester at University of Phoenix where she is earned her bachelors of arts degree in business administration. Simultaneously, Cora has restarted her sales with Prudential California Realty and earned the Rookie of the Year award and was honored to be a member of the Leading Edge Society putting Cora in the top 14% of all realtors nationwide. She also earned an ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative) and e-Pro (Internet and web specialist) designations. Finally in March 2009, Cora continued her trail-blazing by becoming one of the first 100 REALTORs in the state of California to earn her Nartional Association of Realtor's GREEN designation.
By 2007, Berkery began puttting together groups of investors for land development, aquisition and fix and flip REO's. Cora is a true FULL-SERVICE agent and finds her clients the best deals available. She finds ways to make things happen while others sit side-lined. Evidence of that is her continued success in harsh economic times, fall of real esate prices and fallen sales. Still yet, Cora consistantly exceed her previous years goals and achievements.
Berkery enjoys international travel, gardens, friends, continuing education, movies, walking, biking, cooking gourmet food and fine dining. She resides in Laguna Niguel, California with her husband and two dogs.
