What I Love About What I Do
Taking good care of my clients and my real estate partners is so important to me! I really love to help people, and because I understand the intricacies of mortgages and finances so well, I've focused my professional life on helping people buy homes, restructure their finances and improve their overall financial situation.
What I Do
Having been in the mortgage and banking industries for over 15 years, I realize that providing excellent service is the most important aspect of what I do as a mortgage loan officer. Being "real" with my clients and my real estate partners is probably the single most important part of providing excellent service. And being "real" to me means providing open, honest and frequent communication to all parties throughout the whole mortgage process. Nowadays, there are almost always "issues" that come up during the homebuying process, but when everyone is on the same page, those "issues" aren't "surprises" to anyone, and they can be easily resolved because everyone is working together.
In addition to being "real" with my clients, providing excellent service also means knowing what's happening in my industry and being an expert in my field so the other parties involved in the transaction don't have to be. That's why I took the time to become a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist. As a CMPS, I understand the complex bond market that drives mortgage interest rates, but I also understand that each person's Mortgage Plan is very individual and not necessarily market driven. (Just because the conventional 30-year fixed rate is at an all time low, it doesn't mean that is the best program for every client...but can every loan officer explain why? I can!)
So, not only do I understand the mortgage industry, the markets and the concept of Mortgage Planning, but I actually LIKE to communicate with my clients, the real estate agents (on both sides of the sale) and everyone else involved, every step of the way, so that the mortgage process is a pleasant and memorable experience...for everyone!
