About Us:

 I have spent eight years as a realtor and feel very fortunate to be working in a career that I love.

 I graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1971 and Jim graduated from Miami of Ohio the same year.  Jim went on to get his Masters Degree from Kent State.  At one time, we both taught in the Parma City School System together.  Jim retired from Parma City Schools in 2004, and by 2005 had joined me in real estate.  

I come from a family of Realtors, my dad was a realtor in the 1950's who went on to appraising.  My brother, who is "almost famous" in Strongsville real estate, began his career at 19 years of age with Bob Schmidt and his new development in Strongsville at that time.  My mom sold real estate for a few years ( also working for Bob Schmidt).  Kind of makes me wonder, how I ever became a teacher!

We have two great kids (both BGSU graduates!), Jim and Beth.  Jim lives in San Diego and  Beth lives in Chicago.  We love when they travel home to see us and love going to see them. For years we have managed to take a family vacation together, and certainly it is the highlight of every year!

This month Jim and I begin our transition which merges Kochs Real Estate with The CJ Harrington Home Selling TEAM.

In the fall of 2006, I became an staging professional. The class staged one of my listings.  That listing sold in less than 100 days for 96% of asking price.  November, December and January were the bigger portion of those 100 days!    Buyers want clean, sleek, and staged properties in this market.  Just as in any market,but more obviously so in a market where there are many homes, the best ones will sell first!
