Description
Long-distance, Long-term Relationships are my specialty. When you choose me, expect to get more focus on your priorities, time, & the health of the home you choose~ Doing it all with integrity.

Location, Location, Location

I'm located in Clallam County on Washington's Olympic Peninsula. My geographic area includes Sequim, Port Angeles, Gardiner, and some of the small outlying areas that border these towns. Clallam County fits rather nicely between the Strait of Juan de Fuca on the north, Jefferson County on the east, Olympic National Park to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. Yes, we can see Victoria, B.C. from here. I also assist buyers who wish to purchase in Port Townsend in Jefferson County.

Expertise and Passion

My expertise and passion is promoting sustainability in real estate. Sustainability, in turn, is tied to localism. And put that under my EcoBroker certification. So what does that mean to you? Know that when you choose me as your agent, together we will explore how sustainability fits into your new construction purchase, or your purchase of a home that is sustainability-challenged. For example, a resale property might have energy efficiency shortcomings: not enough insulation; single-pane windows; air leakage through the chimney or doors. If you have allergy issues, we'll also need to talk about how to remedy that. Sustainability applies to your land purchases, too. Clearing a piece of land on which to build can be done with far less damage to the natural environment by engaging someone skilled in low-impact development and land clearing. The result? Less damage to local eco environment, less soil taken off your site. The choice is ALWAYS up to you, the client (not withstanding legal requirements in a contract). The responsibility to guide, suggest, and provide a list of sources to you, the client, belongs to me.

I'm also credentialed as an Accredited Buyer's Representative. I encourage you to work with one agent, rather than two or more. The reason is simple. Time is valuable--both yours and mine. First time buyers are a pleasure to work with. They're eager to lay down a claim on land or a home and become part of the American Dream of property ownership. If you're about to become a first-time buyer, know that loan programs from which to choose are plentiful. It's OK to start small--actually purchase "under" what you might be able to afford, and give yourself a financial cushion for adding special touches to your home, or setting aside some money for surprise repairs or maybe an extra payment once a year to pay down that loan even faster.

I love referrals--receiving them or giving them. I'm blessed to have participated in several referrals with agents out of my area. Successfully completing a referral to the client's satisfaction is what it's all about. If the client is happy, chances are both agents will be happy as well.

If you're planning on a visit to my corner of the world, know this: Sequim is a Retirement magnet. And the Olympic Peninsula is a Tourist magnet, especially throughout the summer. That's FESTIVAL time. the Lavender Festival alone can increase the population between 10,000 to 15,000 people. I'm still not sure where we put all these visitors. And, yes, I've had a few tourists who went on to become clients who went on to become residents here. Who knows? YOU might be next.
