Just A Little Bit About Me
I started my business in a down market - I only had one way to go! Over the years I have come to realize my passions - residential real estate sales, REO real estate, and relocations. I enjoy sharing my knowledge, and my opinions with my clients.
Growing up with a mother in the mortgage business and a father that built homes, I was destined to get into the business. Build them, sell them, finance them, and did I mention my aunt owns an insurance company? I had one stop shopping down before it was the norm!
The Shenandoah Valley area offers something for almost everyone - except for maybe those seeking urban living. Small towns, not-so-small-anymore towns, mountain living, Shenandoah River living, and just good country living can be found here. I work with all different types of buyers and sellers - marketing and selling all different types of property.

Craig handled every aspect of the sale of our house efficiently and professionally. At his recommendation, the house was priced exactly right for the market and for our timeframe. It sold quickly and with a minimum of negotiation.Every stage of the process went smoothly: he created an excellent listing; he brought in all the right professionals to take care of the services, inspections and repairs at reasonable costs; and the closing went off on time and without issues…”(2012 Zillow Review, S Brummitt)
A letter sent to my mananging broker:
This note is just to express our appreciation to you, your office, and, in particular, to Craig Alexander who recently helped us to complete all the transactions related to the purchase of our new home in Front Royal. As we are sure you know, Craig is a very hard-working and competent professional. But what makes Craig different from most realtors with whom we have dealt is his ability to listen carefully to his clients, not deluge them with too much unwanted information, and quietly get a clear picture of the clients' needs and preferences. He then shows his clients properties that might be of interest, and he lets them discover what they like instead of giving them the hard sell on every property they look at. Craig also did a great job of playing "Master of Ceremonies" in pulling together all the necessary parties to make our sale transaction move along smoothly and with a minimum of stress for us. We had a suprising pleasant experience in buying our new home, and we are very grateful to Craig and to Weichert, Realtors for making things go so smoothly. John C. and Sharon F.
I am from the Winchester area and was looking for a realtor to help me purchase land. I came across Craig's website and contacted him, and couldn't be happier with the service I received. Craig not only was able to source multiple versions of what I was looking for, but helped walk me through (a) the paperwork (b) the process in a way that was very understandable for a layperson such as myself. He provided advice on everything above and beyond his duties, from who to contact for surveys / inspections to the best way to negotiate based on specific facts.
I would highly recommend him to anybody looking to buy in the Strasburg / Winchester / Front Royal / Woodstock and nearby areas. (2012 Zillow Review, R Campbell)
I chose Craig as the listing agent when I needed to sell my parents' home in Front Royal. He had been referred by several people in the area and soon I discovered what a good choice I had made. Before it could be listed, the house needed numerous renovations including all new carpeting, complete interior painting and cleaning. Since I live in another state, I imagined I would be doing a lot of commuting to find local contractors and painters and to oversee all the work. Much to my surprise and delight, Craig handled everything. He made all the arrangements with reliable and quality contractors who performed a wide variety of tasks to get the house ready for the market. When finished, it looked even better than when it was new. There were quite a few surprises along the way and Craig good-naturedly took them all in stride. At one point, he even brought his own dehumidifier to the house to deal with high humidity in the basement. Craig maintained good communication and frequently updated me on the status of the work being done. Once listed, the house sold quickly. Craig is trustworthy, knowledgeable and hard-working. I greatly appreciate his expertise, time and efforts to make the sad business of selling my parents' home a completely positive experience. In addition to all that, Craig is personable and a pleasure to work with - I highly recommend him! (2012 Yelp Review, Judy M.)
