I love Ocala, Florida!!!!
Yes, there is a culture shock - I originally practiced real estate in the active Long Island, NY market before moving to Ocala. I have been slowly acclimating to the regional customs and dialects - I still have my New York accent and attitude, but, I am slowly warming to the more laid back and relaxing lifestyle of the "Horse Capital of the World."
I have had a very diverse background. I was an Accountant with several of the largest independent firms in NY for over 20 years - most of my background was real estate accounting. Later I started and ran my own business for nearly ten years. I am a skilled negotiator and have always worked hard to obtain the best for his customers and clients.
As a business owner I have extensive experience in merchandising, marketing and advertising. I have seen the real world of real estate ownership and investing and am committed to providing my customers a far more realistic, optpmistic and practical approach to selling their homes on their own than they could obtain through most Realtors.
By the way did I mention I am a rules person? Ethics is not what you do, it is who you are, and I am ethical. Thanks largely to my dad Richard C. Homan Jr. He instilled in me the need to do things right, and put others first.
My wife Sara and I live here in Ocala with our two daughters.
