I have been in real estate for several years. Prior to becoming a Realtor, I managed a Mortgage company. I also managed a branch of Washington Mutual Finance and had worked in the financing industry for 9+ years. David was very helpful in our search for and purchase of a new home.  He was easy to get in touch with, courteous, professional, and worked hard to make the process as simple as possible for us.  We were very picky, so he spent a lot of time sifting through listings to present to us only the homes that met our criteria.  We even insisted on a particular minimum square footage for a bonus room or extra bedroom (to use as a gym), so he checked each listing for that before deciding to mention the home to us.  Each time we looked at homes together, he was on time and came with two sets of hardcopies of the listings of the homes we were to see.  He typically even had his car's GPS preprogrammed with the addresses of the homes we were to see.  Because of all his hard work, we only had to look at 10-12 homes before we found the right one.  He was helpful throughout all the pre-closing stuff, making sure we did all the right things and looking out for our interests.  I'd recommend David to friends and family.  In fact, I've already recommended him to my parents, who ended up, with David's help, buying a nice condo.

My husband and I were looking for waterfront property along the Tennessee River and Mr. Benefield had one listed that we thought we might be interested in. Not so, however, he offered to give us listings of water property via e-mail as they came available. This went on for two years, and we would check out the property we were interested in. He was never pushy. We finally found saw a house listed that was in foreclosure and contacted him. We saw the house and met him for the first time. He was very friendly and approachable. We liked him immediately. We made a bid on the house and from then on, most of our business was via e-mail and phone calls as we lived in Birmingham, AL and the house was in Athens, AL.
