I have worked in industry as a electronic accountant, from the unit records plug wiring punch card era through the advent of the computer. Over 10 yrs in that career. I went back to college and got the BS, MS (+) degrees with an educational certificate in teaching sciences in the Sr High through the Junior College. I taught chemistry, Biology, International Baccalaurete Biology, Phsical Sciences and specialized in Medical Magnet classes, including Hematolgy-physiology. Internationally published in 1987 Corvallis Oregon at the International symposium of Plant Physiologist.
I have since 1994 been involved in Real Estate, with a license in Realty and Appraisal. I have placed the Appraisal license on ice with the state since 2005, and have concentrated in Realty since. I have been a full time Realtor since 2000. 16+ years in the business, as well as owning and operating my own rental properties and owning and running two resturants, and a remodeling redecorating company for ten years duing that time with a partner and excellent foreman.
My father was a home builder for 33yrs and a Realtor for 32yrs, a 65yr career in the business of home except for WWII where he was a war production board bluilding inspector. So essentially I have grown up in the business of homes and buildings as we did commercial as well and I was one of my fathers laborers. Unfortunately he closed his building business the yr I turned 19 so I had to find a new different career, which I did as mentioned.
Hopefully this does not bore you, but gives you an idea of who I am. Usually the guy others go to with questions. Usually have good idea where to resource the answers.
I have 16+ years of experience in Realty and 10 in remodelling. I have specialized in Lakeshore, Hobby farm/farm/land both pre owned and new, and now am working in the limited commercial areas as well. I was a REGGIE JUDGE at one time in my career.

We had no idea realtors worked so hard. It has been a fantastic experience working with David Nelson ... not only did he have the knowledge of home construction (from his home renovation business he used to own), but he also had vast knowledge of the lakes on the west side of the Twin Cities Metro area due to the fact that he lived the majority of his life in the area, he was a biology teacher (knowledge of lake ecosystems, etc.) and is an active member on his own lake homeowners association.
Karen and I got lucky finding David... there are lots of realtors on the Internet. We were home shopping out of the area looking for homes via internet... David's name came up on one property, so we gave him a call. He was very knowledgeable and down to earth... no high-pressure sales pitches, we felt comfortable with him. He worked hard from the start to meet our buying criteria and handled everything professionally.
What was unexpected was after the sale. David put much effort into making sure we were happy after our purchase. We must also mention that our purchase was throughout the busiest home selling season.
I know it must be hard for some realtors to get new homebuyers to sit down and write a note on their home buying experience.
