I work in a small, picturesque town in Southwest Virginia that has a HUGE national presence! Yes, Blacksburg Virginia is home to Virginia Tech and the Hokies and it is the place that I adore!  

As of January 19th, 2009, I have joined RE/MAX 8 to work with Amy Hudson as she expands "the HUDSON TEAM" to a company filed with top producing agents in our market.  More updates to come as we open our new office location at 712 North Main Street in the next few weeks and leave our current office at 1111A North Main Street.

  • A native of Tazewell County, Viginia, my family still maintains a 700 acre farm in the area. My ancestor, Adam Harman, was one of the first settlers in the New River Valley!  You can visit Smithfield Plantation at VA Tech to learn more about him an my ancestors who helped rescue Mary Draper Ingles. 
  • A graduate of the College of William and Mary in 1983, I started my real estate career while in graduate school in Williamsburg, VA (which is still one of my favorite places to visit)!   My undergraduate major was English; American Studies was my graduate school major.  
  • An award winning sales agent who became a real estate instructor and manager in 1987.
  • A former owner of the Center for Real Estate Studies where I taught the Principles of Real Estate and state certified continuing education courses for real estate agents.
  • A manager for RE/MAX 8.
