Testimonials

I just wanted to let you know what an outstanding job Debbie Gilbert did marketing, managing and closing my mother-in-law's home in May 2008.

To set the stage, Midge, my mother-in-law, had been living in the home since 1968 and in the Farmington area since the mid 50's. So making the decision to sell her home and move to Texas was not easy. Needless to say, this was a was a decision full of hesitation and emotion.

We interviewed three Realtors for the listing and clearly Debbie stood out as the best choice from the beginning. Debbie came prepared for the interview with the information we asked for in advance. During the interview, Debbie listened to all Midge's (my mother-in-law) concerns and addressed each of them. The other item that set Debbie apart is she had been through the same scenario of leaving a home after many years with her mother and was quite empathetic about the decision Midge was making.

After months of showings and no offers, Midge decided to take the house off the market for a while. When it was time to re-list the home, Midge called Debbie again.

Through the entire marketing term, Debbie kept us updated on regular intervals. As the market softened, Debbie also had the difficult conversation with Midge about a realistic sales price. That's not news any senior citizen wants to hear about a home that will be adding to their retirement nest egg, yet Debbie did it gracefully.

During the contract negotiating process, Debbie did an outstanding job of managing the buyer's agent and managing us. Emotions were high and Debbie handled it with the utmost professionalism.

Debbie also went the extra on many occasions. Since Midge was in Texas during most of the time the house was on the market, Debbie often stopped by the house to ensure it was in good order before and after showings. When the septic system needed to be replaced, Debbie helped facilitate that effort. For closing, Midge was very apprehensive about driving to the attorney's office and all the paper work she had to sign. Debbie actually picked Midge up for the closing and drove her there and back. Talk about full service!!

Debbie should be commended for her efforts on this sale. She is an outstanding Realtor and Century 21 should be proud to have her on staff. I honestly believe Debbie treated Midge with the same care and respect she would have treated her own mother.

Having purchased many homes over the years, it is easy for me to recognize an outstanding Realtor professional. Debbie is an outstanding Realtor professional and I would highly recommend Debbie to anyone who is looking to either buy or sell real estate.

Thank you.  Khris Leet
