The Summers Team (Cas & Debbie Summers) – This Is How We Role
I've been in and out of homes since 1992 when I started working for a General Contractor in Seminole County - What started as a desk job turned into an apprenticeship that saw me grow to become the "girl calling the shots" in the design and construction of several custom homes in the Orlando area. I loved to watch a blank canvas of dirt transform into a couple's dream, there is nothing more rewarding than turning a house into a home.
Cas, my husband and business partner retired from UPS in 2003 to start a Real Estate Practice. I quickly realized he was living my ‘dream career' and I joined him. He has lived in Seminole County since the age of two; he is a product of the Seminole County Schools and A Graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park.
We each have distinct "Roles" in our business - I am the internet marketing guru and social net working freak enthusiast. Beyond the basics of marketing homes, I develop unique and innovative ways to market properties and attract homebuyers.
I love getting to know folks and helping them find the perfect home. I realize that everyone has a list of wants and needs, but often it is a "feeling" that captures them when they have found "the one" and it does not always equal the home they thought they wanted on paper - Those are the moments that make being a REALTOR the best job in the world.
My "Better Half" has been compared to ‘banker' on that popular Television Show ‘Deal or No Deal' - Often working behind the scenes, but always on top of what's going on... He talks with homeowners about how we can help them achieve their goal of selling their home and handles the documents necessary to offer the property for sale on the MLS (Multiple Listing Service). Once a house is on the market, he manages the day-to-day business of getting it sold and once there is a contract, his real fun begins. He lives for the "Art of the Deal", the daunting task of negotiating a contract to achieve a Win-Win situation, because a successful home sale depends on all parties coming to an equitable agreement (There cannot be a winner and loser, the buyer and the seller both have to achieve their goal). Also, once I have written a contract with a homebuyer, he handles the behind the scenes negotiations with the seller's agent, the buyer's lender and the home inspections - if you are thinking I have the better end of this deal you might be right, but we have learned how to focus on our strengths to serve our customer's needs best.
Areas of Expertise
We have worked with buyers and sellers throughout Central Florida, from Deland to Kissimmee. Our office is in Lake Mary, Florida in the middle of Seminole County. We work with buyers in sellers in all price ranges, but have a special interest in golf course communities throughout Central Florida. Our extensive area knowledge and experience working with new home builders is a valuable asset. We have received one on one training with some of the areas top builders and have an extensive knowledge of the building process.
