KNOWS THE COMMUNITY Raised in the Coos Bay Area, I am very involved in the community. I am an active member of my Rotary club and served as it's first woman president in the year it celebrated its 80th year. I am a member of the Chamber of Commerce's Independent Business Owner's core team, helping to put on the weekly meetings that highlight programs that pertain to business issues. I was named the Chamber's Volunteer of the year for 2005. I have been involved in the local schools, serving on North Bend High School's site council, the ESD's School to Work committee and a regional Gender Equity Task force. SOMEONE TO TRUST
My past experience includes 15 years as a professional Girl Scout executive. As the director of membership and adult development in a seven county area in Oregon I have networked with United Ways, School Districts and other community organizations to ensure availability of the Girl Scout program to all girls. I believe in the power of leadership skills, believing in yourself, a strong moral compass and ethical behavior in every area of your life. UNDERSTANDS BUSINESS AND FINANCE I owned my own insurance company for a number of years before joining the CENTURY 21 Best Realty team. I currently am a partner in several Real Estate offices. I have a strong background in finance, marketing and community economics. I hold the Real Estate's ABR designation- Accredited Buyer Representative - so I can really serve the needs of anyone looking for the home that fits them best. STRONG SENSE OF FAMILY My husband Sam and I enjoy racing their sailboats and traveling. We placed 4th in the North American Championships for our class of sailboat- San Juan 21's. We also race a Geary 18. We love the beautiful Oregon Coast and plan on staying here. We just built a new home and I would encourage everyone to buy an existing home and not go that route! We have 3 grown daughters and 3 grandchildren with another one due on April Fools day. Family is very important. We have vineyards in the Willamette Valley and are learning about wine making. We grow Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir grapes. For my 50th birthday I skydived and hope to get my pilots license one day. |
