I have practical experience. With over 20 years of Management experience, including 15 years in Marketing, I have proven success by earning top awards in two businesses with whom I have worked. The most recent award was “2003 Sales Manager of the Year” for the Pacific Crest Region of my company.
I know business. In 2000 I earned my Master's Degree in business administration from Portland State University.
I love my community, having lived in Coos County for more than 15 years. We have been married for 25 years and have two children in college. When not working we enjoy hiking and backpacking. While my husband surfs (yes, wet suits are needed), I enjoy reading, yoga and exercising.
I "give back "to my community. Being a Rotary and Zonta member involves me in many philanthropic events. Serving as a director on the Coos Art Museum Board and as a director on the Coos County Board of Realtors allows me to share my business experience to help advance their objectives. In 2009 I was one of 7 realtors in Oregon chosen by the Oregon Association of Realtors to be a part of the Leadership Institute Northwest. Currently I am a member of the Chamber of Commerce Committee for Leadership Coos, a program sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce that widens our knowledge of what actually goes on in our area. I am also in the Ford Leadership Training for Coos Bay, 2009/2010.
