I joined the Real Estate Industry in order to serve clients in a way that most had not yet experienced. My parents had dabbled in real estate investing and my sisters and I had purchased homes, and none of us were truely impressed. Because of my continued dedication to what is best for my clients, the majority of the folks I serve are refered to me by others who appreciated my straight forward, honest approach to the business.
One young couple has sent more than 29 transaction to me because I took the time to help them through a credit issue that was not of their own doing. It took nearly 6 months, but we got it fixed and they bought their first house. Because of my belief in service, I have served 6 years as an area commissioner for Columbus, 6 years on the board of a housing charity, where I helped create and teach a HUD approved 1st time home buyer class, and later served as president, more than three years on the grievance and professional standards committees at our local board and various other Realtor associations in my community.
When neccessary, I have mowed grass; shoveled snow and cut a fallen tree in two, to allow access for a showing; decorated homes for the holidays; cleaned widows; and even helped move boxes on moving day because the other side of the transaction was slow to honor their obligation, making the moving window very small for my client, who was a single mother on a budget.
