That is what RE/MAX means to my husband and I. When I see the commercials I now breathe a sigh of relief. About 6 Months ago my husband and I were having difficulty with selling our beautiful house. The problem was not our house; it was the real estate people we were dealing with. I was helpless and began searching for an honest realtor who would listen to our problems and feel as we did. Well I found them, Desiree Daniels and Albert Sodaro of RE/MAX. When I read their testimonials I knew there was someone out there that could help us. We were in a situation where we had to leave for Florida and needed to sell our house or be stuck in financial ruin. Sympathetic and professional Desiree came to our rescue. She told us the facts, the way they were, and helped to reassure us that this too will pass. Well a short time thereafter, it did. I thank them everyday in my prayers. They calmed us down and helped with whatever we needed done on the New Jersey side, especially because we were so far away. My fiance and I began looking for properties in Foxmoor, our idea was to go look at the open houses by ourselves and not get involved with what we thought to be a hassle dealing with realtors. Well ----let me start by telling you--- that the by yourself searching was not working at all. So one night while on the Internet I came upon Desiree and Al's web site and I gave her a call, and I immediately knew that this was the team that I so desperately need assistance from. After one conversation with Desiree, I knew that all the horror stories I had heard about realtors, (mainly not caring about the buyers best interest and saying or do anything just to make a deal happen) were not the case here. Desiree from the start was very personal and sincere. She knew what we were looking for and what price range we could afford. And most of all, knew that this was a first home buyer deal and went way above and beyond the call from a realtors stand point. From mortgage contacts, to different mortgages available out to research that we knew nothing about, to assistance with closing, to contacts for everything from appliances to flooring. Not to forget returning my million calls and never giving up hope after showing us several, and I mean several properties!!! Their experience and help was priceless. So finally when a property came up that was a little out of our price range, they made it happen and I mean that literally. I can honestly say that without working with Desiree and Al, I do not believe that our deal would have ever happened and for that we are beyond thankful. And when you meet people in the real estate business that have to offer what this team does, you also end up with something you least expected and that's a friend!!

I work in the real estate industry and know plenty of real estate agents and believe me when I say that Desiree Daniels and Al Sodaro are truly the most down to earth agents I know. They are not out for the dollar, they have true compassion and genuinely care about their clients. Since I work in the industry you would think why not do a "For Sale By Owner"; way to much work! I would rather et the professionals handle it.

"Desiree & Al Rescue a down & out For Sale By Owner"
I thought I was so smart. I didn't need a professional realtor to help me sell my house. How hard can it be? Put an ad in the paper. Get a lawyer. Have an open house. SOLD! Right? WRONG! And to make matters worse, I had such confidence in myself and my abilities as a salesman/realtor, that I went ahead and bought the condo I was downsizing into. Talk about jumping from the frying pan into the fire! Well, let me tell you ...... 10 weeks of placing ads in newspapers, days wasted holding open houses, having hundreds of color fact sheets printed and spending literally thousands of dollars to try and market my townhouse to sell, here I was, no offers, no prospects and after closing on the condo, two mortgage payments to make instead of one. Want to talk about desperate? Enter Desiree and Al. The Sunday afternoon I met Desiree must have been my lucky day. She was having an open house in the neighborhood that I had purchased my little condo. And I just popped in to take a look. I began to tell her my tale of woe about the townhouse that I couldn't seem to sell and my condo that I really didn't want to move into after all. (Decisions made in haste are usually regretted.) She listened carefully and then followed me home to give my some pointers on what I was doing wrong. Her no pressure attitude and friendly, and caring concern were refreshing after having to fend off many high pressure realtors that the FSBO newspaper ads had attracted. She listened patiently and then helped me to make a decision concerning the condo that I would never have been able to make without her knowledgeable input and advice. She listed the condo for resale, Al had an open house and they had it under contract within a week. Desiree then introduced me to a mortgage agent that was able to rescue me from financial ruin by coming up with a mortgage plan that would allow me to consolidate my bills and keep my townhouse. She also managed to recoup most of my money that I would have lost on a condo that I really didn't want to live in after all. At the closing on the condo, we ran into some problems caused by the previous owners of the condo who had left heavy furniture in the attic. My buyers requested it be moved and Desiree and Al came to my rescue again by volunteering to go on their own time to move the stuff out for me. If you truly want someone on your side, watching out for your interests and putting their abundant selling skills to work on your behalf around the clock, you have only to call Desiree and Al. Dear Potential Buyer/Seller,
This is not a letter you would normally read at a real estate agents office. Desiree & Al were not our real estate agents-but the agents for the buyer of our home. We were so impressed that we wanted to write a letter to let people know how wonderful they are and to thank them for all of their knowladge, help, and hard work.
We unfortunatley listed our home with "FOXTONS" which turned out to be "One of the costliest mistakes we ever made"!!! If it weren't for Desiree & Al, we have serious doubts that the sale would have even gone through.
Let me begin to tell you a few of the awful things we had happen to us by using "FOXTONS".
- They had our home listed as a condo not a town house
-The square footage was off by 400 sq. ft. (Which in a town house is a huge deal)
-The showing times were wrong
-I had to call multiple times to get things accomplished.
-We had positively no help at the closing.
-We bareley ever heard from our so called "Real Estate Agent". I put that in quotes because he was a great salesman, got us to sign with them, and then disappeared.
I could go on & on, but i'm sure you get the idea. We are convinced we lost thousands of dollars by going with "FOXTONS" instead of a legitamate real estate agent.
Desiree & Al have been so incredibly helpful and and gone completely out of their way to help us in the whole process, and remember they weren't our agents-they were the buyers agents!!! After dealing with "FOXTONS" they were a breath of fresh air.
We can't thank them enough, they are extremely knowladgeable, helpful, and wonderful to work with.
If you are even considering going with a discount Real Estate Broker to sell your house - DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! Put it this way, we are closing on our house tomorrow and "FOXTONS" has not been a part of the process at all. I don't even know if they have any idea we are closing tomorrow. We havent heard from them at all. and don't expect to. They are totally disorganized, I fully expect to get a call next week (after the house is sold) saying they would like to show the house.
(Them being me I might add)
WE are gratefiul to Desiree & Al and we wish we had known sooner- we would have saved ourselves a lot of money and heatache had we not signed with "FOXTONS"..
We would highly, off the charts, recommend Desiree & Al if you need a real estate agent.

I like many other women in the world today, am single, and found myself making another lifestyle adjustment. In May of this year I toiled with the idea of selling my townhouse, and moving into a one-floor home. This thought was overwhelming to me at first. The next challenge was the settlement. It is safe to say that this was a settlement to remember! Al and my attorney, Maureen focused straight foward on my needs, and came to a agreeable closure.
