My goal is to offer my client a complete and honest evaluation of their property along with the often comforting understanding that while all homes have defects, most all defects can be repaired.

About Us:

My philosophy regarding home inspection may well be a bit different than many home inspectors. Some home inspectors feel that it is their duty to their client to point out every insignificant flaw in the property. Some home inspectors actually take great pride in how absolutely picky they can be. In my view there is a great difference between reporting detailed information that has a direct effect on the operation of a system in a home and reporting minute details that do more to scare a buyer out of purchasing a home.

Please don’t misunderstand. I am bound by a code of ethics, which I take very seriously, to accurately report any condition that would have a significant adverse impact on the value of the property or any condition that poses an unreasonable safety risk to people on the property. I recently read a home inspection report from an inspector that actually reported that the kitchen cabinet drawers had mismatched drawer pulls. In my opinion, that inspector is filling space in his report. Not doing a professional job of home inspection.

I am a licensed home inspector, state of Tennessee (License #601). I am an affiliate member of the Knoxville Area Association of Realtors and the current vice president of the Oak Ridge Business Association.

Value added

In an effort to give our clients a couple of value added benefits:

 

• Delayed payment available on all PROactive Sellers Inspections. For any sellers inspection, payment can be delayed until closing, for up to 45 days. 

 

• All inspections include one free re-inspection. Included in the inspection fee is one no added cost visit to the inspection address to re-inspect any discrepancies found in the original inspection. A final summary page will be provided that documents the repairs or improvements.
