I requested the service of Don Johnson in late spring of 2010. I was aware that many of the homes for sale in our community had his name on the for sale sign. After his first visit I knew why he was so popular. Don does not just sell a home he represents a family. Fifteen minutes into our initial discussion Don knew just about everything regarding our family…..our kids and grandkids names, my wife’s passion for art education and our mutual desire for life balance. He facilitated a discovery dialogue for what we really needed in both selling a home and buying a replacement. He is truly a renaissance agent as he provided us the demographics of our potential buyer, took the home pictures that would appeal to said buyer, gave us advice on the look of our home to attract them, outlined the price range to sell our home and the marketing strategy to reach them, and provided us with reputable and reasonably priced carpenters/painters/plumbers to do the work necessary to effectively market our home.

We have used Don Johnson three times to buy or sell property in the past nine years. He helped us buy an investment property in 2002 which was very successful as an investment and is now our home.
In 2006 Don listed a duplex to sell in Georgetown. Within one week he had a firm offer and we closed with a nice profit.
The biggest test of a realtor is a tough market. We listed a rental property for him to sell in March of 2010. As is well known the recent housing market has been challenging to say the least. Don advertised the property and kept up with other brokers who had shown the property to any possible client. He provided us with feedback to help us remedy any shortcomings. He found a potential buyer in September of 2010. It was a first time home buyer who was not familiar with the process. The buyer had misunderstandings about the mutual responsibilities of the buyer and seller. Rather than simply reject the offer Don Johnson explained the process patiently while always protecting our interests fairly. In November we successfully closed the sale.
In summary, if Vicki or I ever buy or sell any property in Central Texas we will always ask Don Johnson to represent us.
