Happy Holidays!
From
Sedona Arizona
Right now it is still dark and the sun won't peak it's head out until 8 AM when it rises over the white capped Red Rocks above Schnebly in the east. About 1 hour and 15 minutes from now. But the sun is already shining in memory as I recall yesterday.
We got a special visit from Santa on Christmas morning! What a treat. Tristan's uncle, Ryan, got him this outfit and we had no idea Santa was coming! Imagine our suprise when we opened the door!
We expected Tristan to play with the wrapping paper but he actually paid attention to his gifts. He loves books. I suspect we will be visiting Barnes & Noble a lot!
As for our White Christmas....it snowed until 3 PM on Xmas Day. The sun struggled to make an appearance but did so only for a few seconds here and there.
Soldiers Pass Sedona got over 6.5 inches of snow!
Flagstaff, described as one of the snowiest incorporated cities (wikipedia) got 10.4 inches of snow. The previous record was 4 inches. Flagstaff averages around 100 inches a year historically as per wikipedia. Flagstaff is 45 minutes north and 3000 feet higher than Sedona.
As of right now, I see the temps dropping a little more before the sun rises. It will probably get into the teens. But it is clear today, and the temps will get into the 40's so this snow will politely disappear until next time!
