 Karen Gray-Plaisted is the principal owner of Design Solutions and employs her expertise and knowledge of understanding home owner’s style, and a buyer desires when decorating a home. Her discerning sense of style comes from over a decade of profitable buying experience for major retailers. Her strong knowledge of current trends in decorating and the housing market have contributed to profitable sales for clients.

She is a member of ASHSR and RESA. In 2013 she became a Finalist of the Rising Star category recognized in all of North America by RESA. In 2012 the homes that Design Solutions staged sold on the average in 52 days. Karen holds a BA from Pace University, Merchandising and Buying degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology and was trained by HSR as a Certified Professional Home Stager and Re-designer. Karen loves to educate and empower clients using simple solutions, allowing homeowners to transform their spaces with desirable affordable decadence.

 "Uncluttered Simplicity" seems to be the answer. I had tried (and succeeded) to display everything I thought should be in the rooms - to make them look/feel "lived in" - to the point that people thought I had just moved in!
