We contacted Alex on phone and email. He responded promptly and answered all my questions and offered additional information regarding the inspection process. We hire Alex and scheduled the appointment. Alex arrived right on time, made introductions and got right down to work. He started on the outside examining everything from drainage issues, wood rot and roofing. He then went inside and did a thorough job with the attic, appliances, general living areas and the mechanicals. Alex took lots of photos, explained all that he found and was very willing to answer our questions as he worked. He spent a total of 4.5 hours examining the 3280 square foot house. Alex entered everything into his computer and printed out a very detailed report along with a smaller second copy. Alex found several major items that we are addressing with the seller prior to closing. I will use Alex to inspect our current home so we can fix or work on red flag items before putting on the market.

It was extremely easy to contact him, and I was able to confirm everything (schedule, cost, scope of work, etc.) via email, which was more efficient and convenient for me, so much appreciated. Alex performed a whole house inspection of a 46 year-old house that I am in the process of buying. He inspected everything - inside, outside, roof, attic, living space, HVAC, appliances, etc.

Member Comments: 

Alex was there for more than 5 hours. He did all the work himself. He allowed me to follow him around and ask questions as he went. He took many digital pictures of problems found along the way. He thoroughly explained everything he was looking at - both good and bad - as he went along. He had his laptop with him and he typed up his findings as he finished a section. The pictures were incorporated into the report. Alex also provided explanations of how to prevent some problems in the future. He also helped me by figuring out a way that I can have duct work run to the basement. He identified several problems that will be costly to fix so I can negotiate those items with the seller. I had 2 color copies of the report printed and in my possession before Alex left the site. I feel that I am in a much better position to buy this house as a result of the thorough inspection that Alex performed and the knowledge he shared with me along the way. He is very professional.

Alex did an incredibly thorough job, taking 4 hours to complete the inspection of my home. He was up on the roof, in the attic, looking into every corner of my basement with his flashlight. He was even in the bathtub, tapping the tiles to make sure they weren't coming loose. Alex was professional and knowledgeable. He did not mind if I stayed with him, asking questions as he did his job. The report he generated was incredible and complete with notes and pictures of what he found. I had hired Alex for this inspection to diagnose and prioritize repairs that I knew I needed. Any contractor can take his report and know exactly what they need to do.
