Get to know Erika

I have lived in the Des Moines area for around 9 years. My husband and I reside in West Des Moines with our three children. We truly believe that raising our children in Iowa is the best thing for them. Two of our kids are currently attending school in the West Des Moines School District which we also think is great!

When I am not selling real estate or spending time with my family I enjoy volunteering my time with the Blank Park Zoo. 2012 marked my 3rd year as a committee member for their annual fundraiser Zoobilation (formerly Uptown Hoedown). My family enjoys all aspects of the zoo from just visiting, summer camps, Eggstravaganza, etc. Therefore it really wasn't a hard decision to become involved with this great organization!

Beyond giving back to the community I also believe that it is equally important to give back to my profession. There are members and active members in real estate. I like to believe that I am an active member by attending local board functions/meetings as well as state. I am the current Iowa YPN Chair as well as the 2013 Region 5 CRS District Representative. I am also part of a newly formed Des Moines Area Association of Realtors Focus Group.
