A Bit About Me:
I was born in Provo and lived there for the first 15 years of my life, and wouldn't have wanted it any other way. It was a great childhood, filled with running up and down the twisty, squeaky staircase, the smell of mom's homemade grape juice, and hours spent on the monkey bars across the street. I do not live there now - my family has lived in American Fork for several years now. But I still love, and miss, the giant chesnut trees lining every street and the character of the old homes - no two are the same, and all have a sense of charm and mystique about them.
But big trees and old houses aside, I like other things as well. I love to read, listen to all kinds of music, and learn new things. My favorite pasttime is playing music with my family. I love to sing, play the drums, bass, electric and accoustic guitars, piano, and have recently started the cello. And as long as we're on the subject, the best band in the history of music was The Beatles. I enjoy watching football (I'm not the best player), and following the almost-completely-true-but-not-quite stereotype of Utah women, I love to scrapbook.
I absolutely love the mortgage business, and my enthusiasm shows through my work. I am naturally a high-focus individual, not easily distracted. I'm hard-working, determined, and detail-oriented to the point of perfectionism (which tends to work toward the benefit of the buyer and/or their agent). I am personable and easy to talk to, and am willing to be contacted at any time, including those times during which many loan officers will ignore business calls: Friday nights and Saturday mornings. Everything being said, complete customer satisfaction is my #1 priority.
Why should you let me work for you?
I have lived in one of the fastest growing counties in the USA throughout my entire life. Beautiful homes in the Utah County, UT area are being built at astonishing rates, but my amazement at how quickly they are built isn't as great as my amazement at how quickly they are filled! Here it seems each house is bought within 1-3 weeks of completion, which, I'm sure, is a sign of Utah County's knowledgeable, hard-working and totally on-the-ball real estate agents. There are several reasons, aside from my characteristics mentioned in the previous paragraph, why I should be the one to handle a buyer's loan:
- Like I said, I live in a fast-growing county. The speed of progression, especially in the housing industry, has made me realize how quickly homebuyers (and agents, if applicable) want to get things done. No one wants a slow, painful loan approval and home-buying process, and I certainly don't want to give one to them. To get a buyer into the home of their dreams, I promise a fast and painless process.
- You are educated along the way. Many times loan officers will ask for information or signatures on forms and won't bother to explain their purpose. This is done to avoid any extra discussion or prevent the buyer from becoming more knowledgeable - there go the officer's tricks and hidden fees! However, I'll help buyers understand every step of the process. If a term, form or product is not understood, please ask questions. I'll give you a clear and honest explanation - without the accompanying annoyance or exasperation many loan officers will show.
- And last but not least, a one-time client is a lifetime friend with me. I do not "buddy up" to buyers only to drop the friendly facade the minute after closing. I appreciate my clients for who they are, and understand that the friendship formed with them is just as important, if not moreso, than the business they bring. My time will always be available to them.
