About Me
Before I was involved in Real Estate, I spent twenty years bringing buyers and sellers together in the form of hiring authorities and applicants as a recruiter for accounting and financial personnel. I'm proof that we turn into our parents as my father bought and sold Real Estate in Fairfield County. When I realized I was never seeing my family, I did a gut check. I have always loved sales. I loved the process of buying and selling our houses. I decided to leave a perfectly good job and got into this business.
I specialize in Fairfield County, Ct. I grew up here. I know the towns, how they've changed and how I think they're going to continue to change. Since I did live in Manhattan, I also specialize in relocating people from the city. I also like older homes and different homes.
Years ago, when I first got into sales, my mentor gave me some advice that I think sums up my approach to Real Estate. Don't worry so much about making sales. Worry about making business friends. Be a valuable source of information to whomever you come into contact with. Make their lives easier. Have some fun along the way.
I'm happy to help you as you endeavor to achieve your Real Estate goals.

Interests
I'm a Deacon at our church. They call me Deacon Derb.
I'm going to the gym again after a long hiatus. We're talking years. Does this mean I can say that exercise is a personal interest?
I'm married to Geri. I met her in Texas. She's from sunny California. She moved here to be with me. That was back in 1994. When I'm having a bad day, I remind myself of this and realize I'm a pretty good salesman after all.
I have a daughter who's entering Kindegarten this fall. Her name is Ava, which, spelled backwards, spells Ava. She's beautiful and smart and quick witted. She looks like her mother, which I thank God for on a daily basis.
I love to read and play the piano and listen to music.
