About Us:

Fair Choice Realty was founded in the fall of 2006 by Christopher Ashe and Andrea Becker Abbott to provide an alternative for people who want to buy and sell real estate using a new, more logical model. Chris and Andrea both felt that while many real estate firms provide a high level of service to their clients, the way that those services were billed for did not make sense.  Fair choice Realty provides clients with a choice of services at a price that makes sense.
Christopher Ashe has been a broker and manager with both large and small companies and has started several successful real estate offices from scratch. He has earned designations as an Accredited Buyer representative, Certified Residential Broker, Graduate of the REALTORS® Institute and is a Professional Services Certified Specialist. In addition Chris has worked as a consultant for numerous real estate companies as well as firms in other industries and the not-for-profit sector. He has taught (and teaches) courses for universities, colleges and private education companies as well as his own school, Learning Unlimited. His services as an educator and speaker are in great demand. In 2001 the Connecticut Association of REALTORS® elected him Educator of the Year. He is certified as an instructor for REALTOR®'s Buyer Agent Council and the Women's Council of REALTORS®. Chris has also served local and state REALTOR®  organizations being elected President of both the New Milford Board of REALTORS®  and MLS, was a Vice President of the Connecticut Association of REALTORS®  and was President of the Litchfield Board of REALTORS®  and Chairman of Member Services for the state Association in 2003. He is currently Chairperson of the Grievance Committee for the Connecticut Association of REALTORS® and has served on the Executive Committee of The Connecticut Association of REALTORS® several times. Chris has also contributed to the major real estate textbooks used in Connecticut and around the nation. He is a reviewer for Modern Real Estate Practice and Connecticut Real Estate Practice and Law and the Testbank Reviewer for Connecticut Real Estate Exam Prep.

Andrea Becker-Abbott, Consultant, REALTOR® is the co-founder of Fair Choice Realty and works for buyers and sellers across Connecticut to provide custom full service Real Estate Options to her clients including sustainable living counseling. Andrea's approach to working with buyer and seller clients is based offering more options that her competiton. More service options, pricing plans, and even energy and building options mark a few advantages appreciated by her clients. Andrea's clients actually control as much of their buying or selling experience as they wish. Because, clients differ in terms of the amount of REALTOR® involvement they require, Andrea believes that commission based fees are inappropriate for most clients.  Andrea studied Real Estate under her mentor and current business partner, Christopher Ashe. Andrea and Christopher came to believe that they could provide the consumer with something so uniquely fair that they had to share their vision. The fair Choice Realty vision is becoming very popular. Andrea is a public speaker and has been a mentor of many young women and  school age children. She belongs to the Litchfield County Board of REALTORS® and currently serves on the Affordable Housing Committee, the Audit Committee, and chairs the Real Estate Political Action Committee as well as the Green Building Committee; Andrea in fact founded that committee. She holds honorary membership in Phi Theta Kappa and LEX honor societies. She has been and inovator and voice for environmentally concious living locally and nationally.
