About the Home Inspector

As your home inspector, I'll provide you with an unbiased, professional, detailed, comprehensive inspection of your new home. And your inspection process will never be a rushed one. Three to four hours are spent inspecting the average home. When performing a home inspection, I make comments on every detail I would want to know if I were the one buying the home. Home inspection is not a hobby for me; it is my full-time business, and I'll be honored to be your home consultant.

Ongoing education is very important to me so I can keep abreast of the ever-changing building codes and new construction methods. I am actively involved in the north San Diego chapter of CREIA (the California Real Estate Inspection Association), where I have served as President, Vice President, and Secretary. One of my proudest achievements is attaining the MCI (Master CREIA Inspector) designation. Only about 10% of the CREIA inspectors taking the MCI exam pass it. As a certified infrared thermographer, I also offer a wide range of infrared imaging services to compliment your home inspection. I perform a complete spectrum of infrared scans utilizing the most modern technology to discover and diagnose moisture intrusion issues, energy efficiency, electrical issues, mechanical issues, and roof leakage.

My goal is to provide a higher-level inspection and to make you so satisfied with your home inspection that you will tell your family, friends, and colleagues about the great service given by First Choice Inspections. My business grows one satisfied client at a time!

Home Inspection Expectations

Home inspections are a major concern for most consumers. Here are some common questions asked by the consumer:  Is the home inspector qualified?  Who is the home inspector working for- me or the agent?  How much should I pay for a home inspection?  How thorough will the home inspector be?

 

As a client of First Choice Inspections, you always receive a thorough, un-biased inspection of the subject property.  The condition of the home is reported in an honest fashion, In other words, the home "is what it is".  

 

The length of inspection depends on the size, age, and condition of the home.  You will receive a personal walk-through of the property at the end of your home inspection where you will be shown any material defects found during the inspection. You can get any questions answered regarding your new home.  The final report, complete with photos, will be emailed later that SAME DAY.  View a sample home inspection report. 

Inspection fees are individually quoted and will vary according to the size and age of the home.  It is not a good idea to shop around for a cheap inspection!  A less-experienced inspector will miss important items and it will end up costing you a lot more than the $100 you saved!  Remember, a quality home inspection is never expensive, it is priceless!
