About Fred!

Over 35 years of experince I have been in full time real estate sales for over 35 years now and still love the profession. The last 25 of those years have been right here in Corvallis. Because of the extensive clientele I have served over the years nearly 90% of my business is by referral or repeat business. Business Beliefs and Philosophy

Personal relationships have always been the name of the game in this business.  I value them highly.  If you happended to read through some of my testimonials you will get an idea of how I treat my clients.  I have always really enjoyed the marketing side of real estate.  I have a great deal of pride in my professional presentation of homes. As the marketing in this industry moves away from the old fashioned print media to the more effective presentation of homes via the web we have kept up.  In fact we pretty much put all of our budget into web presentations and less and less all the time into print media.  Having a home well represented on the internet speaks well for the home but it also says a lot about me and how I conduct my business.  Since 90% of my clients are repeat or referral I dont as often come in contact with new buyers in the real estate market. That is one of the reasons that I like to have a good web prescence showing off my listings because that always attracts new clients that help replace the ones who move away.  I am also a big believer in keeping up with education.  I have the following designations: "Certified Residential Specialist", "Seniors Real Estate Specialist"."Accredited Buyers Representative" and "E-Pro Designation".  Give me a call if you would like to put my 35 years of experience and contacts to work for you!

Not Sure Where To Begin!

Where do I begin to tell you about the great service that Fred Adams gave me?  I was very impressed with Fred's web site (which I stumbled upon while searching the web for home listings in Corvallis). He clearly stated his philosophy of home buying and selling and also he had several great links on his site that were very informative about Corvallis.  Living in Hawaii, and having never been to Corvallis and yet thinking of relocating there, this was very helpful.

 

When I emailed Fred, telling him of our plans to possibly relocate to Corvallis from Hawaii, and shared my hesitation on settling on a place I had never seen, Fred wrote back and shared his own story of relocating to Corvallis more than 25 years before.  I immediatey felt an affinity with him and knew that he would take my concerns and home requirements to heart.  He immediatedly started sending me listings that were in my price range and I began to learn about the housing market in Corvallis.  A few months later, we decided to visit Corvallis during the Christmas break so that we could see the town first hand and also experience winter weather to see if we could make the move from sunny Hawaii.  We fell in love with Corvallis. Fred was recuperating from hip surgery so he had arranged for his colleague, Arleen Cox, to show us several properties while we were in Corvallis. Arleen was very nice, and spent several hours showing us properties and different neighborhoods in Corvallis.

 

We also spent days just driving around Corvallis and acquainting ourselves with the town.  On our last day there, my son and I came across a home for sale that we fell in love with.  It was slightly outside our price range so we had not seen the listing before.  I emailed Fred and told him that it was too bad we were leaving the next day (New Year's Day) as we had discovered this house that we thought might be perfect for us.  He tracked us down at hour hotel and offered to show us the home that night, on New Year's Eve.  So he drove out to the house and met us there, even though he was in tremendous pain from his hip replacement surgery only 2 weeks before!  What Realtor would do that?  Not only was it New Year's Eve but he should never have been driving so close to that surgery!  That is beyond the call of good service.  We did in fact end up making an offer on the house in the next few weeks and it was accepted.  Fred was wonderful in taking care of all of the details for us since we had returned to Hawaii.  I did fly up to Corvallis for the home inspection, and again, Fred was wonderful.  The home inspection revealed some repairs that needed to be done and Fred paid for these repairs himself!  He has since gone out of the way to check the property several times since we will not be able to move to Corvallis for several months.  He has even offered to mow the lawn for me before we arrive in June.  I can't begin to tell you how helpful and supportive Fred has been to me.  I really feel that I have not only found the best realtor in Corvallis, but he has become my first new friend as we prepare to move to Corvallis.
