About Marin County

Marin County is one of the top rated places in the world to live. Located just north of San Francisco, California, it has some of the most desirable residential real estate in the country.  Marin offers mild weather, a quick commute to San Francisco, and outstanding views of the San Francisco skyline, the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset, majestic Mt. Tamalpais, and the San Francisco Bay.  The county has a small town atmosphere where you can walk to town from many neighborhoods.

Marin is an easy commute to San Francisco via the Golden Gate Bridge, commute buses, or via ferry service available from Sausalito, Tiburon, and Larkspur to the downtown financial district of San Francisco.

Life is good in Marin County.  The people are friendly, sophisticated and interesting.  Shopping is easy and plentiful with lots of parking.  There are excellent restaurants with a variety of cuisines and the cultural and restaurant mecca of San Francisco is minutes away.  There are plenty of outdoors activities.  Biking, running, hiking, and horseback riding are popular on the scenic trails.  Over 75% of Marin is public or private open space.  Mt. Tamalpais, Muir Woods, the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and the Point Reyes National Seashore are all less than a half-hour drive.

Sailing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing are popular on the Bay.  Skiing is just a few hours away at magnificent Lake Tahoe.  The mild climate makes golfing a popular activity on both public and private courses.
There are many employment opportunities with businesses involved with professional services, finance, the internet, multimedia, and software.

Marin county has highly-rated public and private schools as well as a community college offering a variety of day and evening classes.

Testimonials From Marin Buyers & Sellers

Ginger's Marin County client's had this to same:

Dear Ginger

From our first meeting with you, we knew you were the perfect agent for us.  Your attention to detail, organized manner, and thorough marketing proposal in addition to your thoughtful consideration of our needs left us feeling very comfortable putting our trust in you.  Additionally, we were very impressed with your networking team that we felt put you on the cutting edge of the real estate market...

Additionally, we were extremely impressed with your contract work and the ability you had to negotiate and counter so many offers before we fell into escrow.  It took extreme organization and attention to detail to pull off what you did for us!  We were even more impressed by your ability to work through obstacles when we came up against them during escrow.   Your professionalism throughout the entire process clearly helped us to close the deal.

Thank you again so much for your commitment to helping us sell our home.

- Rob & Christine

Ginger,

We absolutely LOVE it and can't thank you enough for working so hard to make this all possible for us. We feel very blessed  that you were able to represent us. We feel that you really met all of our needs and went above and beyond to sell and purchase a San Anselmo home for us in a record amount of time during the worst time of year!
