Born the son of a US Marine and his wife Mary, in New River, North Carolina I was raised in an upstate New York community known as Vestal.  I attended Cornell University and graduated with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1966.  After two years of active duty as an infantry lieutenant in the US Army, I returned to Vestal and started work for Mr. Wayne Jones, who wanted to build a motel.  I returned to Cornell University, attending the School of Hotel Administration, and received my second BS degree in 1972.  I went back to work with Mr. Jones and we built a 100 room Quality Inn in Cleveland, Ohio.  I managed the property until 1978.  Between 1978 and 2003 I made a living in the hospitality business, managing, building and renovating hotels and resorts, in Niagara Falls, NY,  Albuquerque, NM, Tucson, AZ, Columbia, SC, Suffern, NY, Golf Shores, AL, Charleston, SC, Miami, FL and Key Largo, FL.  In 2004 I obtained my real estate associates license and in 2005 earned my brokers license.  Along the way I also picked up Community Association Manager license.  I have managed one of the premier Florida Keys real estate offices for Coldwell Banker Schmitt Real Estate Company and received Coldwell Banker Diamond Society award for production achieved during 2005 for performance levels in the top 13% of all Coldwell Banker Sales Associates across the country.  In 2007 I became Director of Property Sales for Mariner's Club Key Largo, a luxury residential resort and marina community and opened my own brokerage company, Glenn Hoover Real Estate Services, in 2009. I am single and blessed with a  daughter, three sons, and six grandchildren.
