I just wanted to drop you a line to express my wife Kathy's and my appreciation of your marketing and eventual sale of our previous residence at 1137 Alder Creek Way here in Brentwood. As you know, we opted to try the "For Sale By Owner" route in order to save a portion of the sales commission while offering a "Broker Co-op". During one of our early open houses, I was impressed with the fact that Glenn stopped in to familiarize himself with "Our" aspect of the market. During our conversation as he viewed the house, he was quite willing to discuss various aspects of the current market and indicated that even though our initial asking price, while still in the ballpark, was a tad on the higher side. The next several weeks, with lots of lookers, but no offers, caused us to rethink our position in light of the fact that closing on our new house was imminent. After interviewing Glenn and two other brokers, we decided that the personality, marketing strategy and greater resources was most consistent with our goals. In retrospect, it was the best decision.
