About Us:

Little did I realize when I walked into a real estate office in Chicago in 1957 asking for a job that it would be a lifelong career.  Today, my husband, Dean, and I are a team - at home and in business.  As a young woman, I learned to rent apartments, handle problems and assist with bookkeeping.  Four years later in California I started in the insurance department of a large bank holding company - you know - those impound accounts and damage claims. Then as a systems analyst for them, I designed a system to coordinate the loan functions from application to appraisal and close of escrow. That led me to becoming an escrow officer with an affiliate company.  When the market changed, just like now (and there were too many escrow officers), I became the Real Estate Coordinator for a growing (and now very large) franchise fast food company, coordinating build-to-suit leases and franchise agreements.  I was eventually replaced by a full time staff attorney.  Shortly thereafter, the bank called me back.  They now needed a financial analyst to handle their short term investments.  By then I had acquired a stock brokerage education, and loved both the job and the early hours (to match the market opening in New York). I had 5 daughters, and could spend afternoons with them.  Four years later and a move to San Diego made me rethink the real estate business.  It was time to try my hand at selling.  I loved helping the people, and did very well.  Eventually I owned a real estate and escrow company, syndicating small commercial properties and portfolios of single family homes.

Business decisions lead me to Phoenix in 1978.  I did all of the bookkeeping, tax returns, property management, and purchasing and selling of the syndicated properties.  By then, all these daughters had been brought into this business in one way or another. My middle daughter is now a top agent for one of the largest companies in town.

Eventually with a life change came a new direction.  After a short time working for a large company in property management, I started Glenco Realty Services. I found the rewards of selling in the single family market.  In between selling, I did asset investigations and broker opinions for the RTC.  As a tax hearing officer for 5 years, I was responsible for advising value in tax valuation disputes on commercial property.

Since 1999 I have represented the Mayor of Phoenix in Village Planning and I currently serve on the Education Committee for the Phoenix Association of Realtors.  I previously served as President of the Moon Valley Homeowners Association.

I hold the following degree and certifications:  Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager, Certified Residential Specialist, Accredited Buyers Representative, Graduate Real Estate Institute, e-Pro, Certified Negotiation Expert, Master of Real Estate Member, Phoenix Association of Realtors President's Award Winner, Competent Toastmaster.

My wonderful husband and partner, Dean, has a degree in Photography from RIT, and was a staff photographer for General Motors.  As a matter of fact, a home that he photographed here in Moon Valley for the cover of their annual report (with a GM car) has recently been for sale.  Dean owned his own photography business for many years, and served as a reserve officer for the Phoenix Police Department.  He retired as a Commander after 23 years.  He too serves on the Education Committee for the Phoenix Association of Realtors. Together we make an unbeatable real estate team.

There are many factors involved in a successful sale and you, in the sale of our house, achieved them all.  You first helped us determine an equitable price considering our home, the 45 or so other houses on the market in our area and the length of time (90-180) days that it was taking to arrive at a sale.

You provided all sorts of sales tips, such as home preparation, repairs that should or should not be made and the best ways to show the house.  You set us up with the internet and multiple listing so we could keep tract of what was happening and what was likely to happen.  You provided excellent photographs of highlights within our home, organized and excellent brochure of the positive selling points of the home, and kept the curbside station supplied often 3 and 4 times daily.

You gave us prompt feedback on the opinions of other real estate agents and prospects who toured the house, both their feelings about the house and things we might do differently or better in presenting the house for sale.

But the story doesn't end there.  Glennis and Dean were both helpful after the sale.  We were downsizing from a large house with a big swimming pool to a much smaller place in a retirement area in Oro Valley, Arizona.  They helped smooth communications and details with our Realtor in the Tucson area, and even with year-end tax advice.

Well, the dust has cleared and the holidays are over.  This has been the first opportunity I've had to write to you.

I just wanted to express my appreciation for all you did to sell my home.  Wow, one day...that is truly amazing and so are you two.  People often think in generalities when they consider selling their home...they seldom think of the million and one little details.  Well, thanks to you, I didn't have to think of them either...you took care of everything.  In all honesty, I don't think I would have gotten through it if it hadn't been for you and Dean.

I was so fortunate to have a friend introduce me to Glennis when I was out looking for a new home.  She immediately took me under her wing and together we wrote up an offer on a house I had just been to see.  Well, I didn't get the house, but that was a good thing.  Because Glennis never stopped looking and we found just the right house for me.  Glennis also helped me sell my old house.  No matter how frustrated, depressed, or angry I got over negotiations, or lack thereof, Glennis never stopped smiling.  She listened to me rant and rave and told me I was normal when I was sure I was turning into a basket case.  She was always there for me and made me feel like I was her only client.  When she was not available, she made sure her daughter was there to hold my hand.  I could count on them.

I have had the pleasure of employing Mrs. Glennis Zeeb as my Real Estate Agent on several occasions.
