          MaryJo Turner
       REALTOR®/Partner
MaryJo (MJ) brings years of sales and marketing experience to The Real Estate Industry. She was a top producing agent in the San Francisco bay area for over 14 years before moving to the  Paso Robles area. In the East bay she created and developed an   interactive web based service called Condocomplex.com, that catered to the buyers and sellers of high end complexes, so she is no stranger to lower and moderately priced homes. Over 75% of her business was resale single family residences in the bay area, therefore, she is also no stranger and actually quite familiar with servicing clients  dealing in million and multi million dollar homes. MJ lives in and loves Paso Robles. She lives on  3 acres with her husband Andy of over 20 glorious years, their horses and various other animals. She has lived on ranches and horse property, as well as shown Quarter horses for most of her life. MJ also absolutely LOVES Blusgrass music being a native Tennessee gal and plays upright double bass and cello. MJ has helped many families successfully sell and purchase horse properties and large acreages with her extensive personal knowledge. MJ is a knowledgeable, results-orientated, top producing Real Estate professional with over 300 successfully closed transactions. Over 98% of MJ's sales have been by referral which could only occur from abundantly  satisfied customers. MJ's #1 personal quality trait is that she is a deep, intense listener committed to providing the best and most gratifying real estate experience you could imagine.

Oh, by the way... Our team is never too busy to take care of and provide excellent service to your friends and family that have real estate needs.
Use this section to write about yourself - don't be shy - Why should a buyer or seller want to work with you? Do you have any certifications and qualifications? What sets you apart from other agents/loan officers?

Areas we love, know and want to Share

Arroyo Grande

Arroyo GrandeArroyo Grande is located on the Central Coast of California, midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The City is 5.45 square miles in area at an elevation of 114 feet, with a population of 16,523 (2003.) Fine homes, fine schools, fine antiques, fine wines, and fine people characterize the area. Civic pride creates a sense of community, and public and private partnerships show progress at a comfortable pace. A perfect climate is one of Arroyo Grande's biggest assets. Fewer than half a dozen nights each winter drop below 32 degrees, and a summer reading over 83 degrees is a rarity. Tourism and agriculture spur the local economy and provide the impetus for a "feast" of yearly festivals and celebrations, each one showcasing local products, local pastimes, and local businesses. The annual Strawberry Festival features this most famous crop. The Harvest Festival reminds residents of Arroyo Grande's agricultural heritage; a summer car show boasts a display of more than 300 custom and antique vehicles; and Christmas in the Village charms young and old.

Atascadero

AtascaderoToday, with nearly 28,000 residents, Atascadero is the third-largest city in San Luis Obispo county. Many of the very principles that E.G. Lewis envisioned for his "utopian city" are ensured through the city's general plan, which includes preservation of open space, protection of trees and hillsides, the keeping of domestic animals, and large lot sizes. It was Mr. Lewis who first had the vision in which he foresaw the future of Atascadero as a creative, rural community.

Avila Beach

Avila BeachThe rolling hills of California's Central Coast frame this relaxing get-away. Situated on the edge of California's newest and most distinctive wine regions, Avila Beach enjoys a beautiful ocean front setting central to Southern San Luis Obispo County. Avila Beach enjoys a very mild climate with temperatures that range from 60 to 80 degrees year round. Enjoy Whale Watching nearly Year-round. Nearby Pismo Beach features many special events throughout the year including, a Custom Car Show, 4th of July Fireworks, Western Days, Clam Festival and Marching Band Review. In addition, the city is home to two dixieland jazz festivals. Pismo Beach is also the home of the migrating Monarch Butterflies who come each year from the end of October through February.

Cambria

CambriaOn California's Central Coast 6 miles South of Hearst Castle, Cambria offers some of the finest Hotels, Bed & Breakfasts, Gourmet Restaurants, Wine Tasting, Art Galleries, Gift Shops, Camping, Retreats and much more. Cambria began as a fishing and quicksilver mining town, then later became important for its dairy and lumber exports. Today, the pine covered hills and rugged shoreline attracts artists and tourists from around the world. Come and let us share the magic that is Cambria!

Cayucos

CayucosA quiet town, Cayucos invites folks to slow down, smell the ocean air, pick up sand dollars and never take life for granted. The broad main street recalls the days of stagecoaches and cowboys, and the Saloon is still the best place for after-hours drinks. The livery station gave way to Nelson's Garage, but the Cayucos Barbershop still keeps coiffures in order. Cayucos is a town in tune with its past, but also preparing for its future.

Grover Beach

Grover BeachThe City of Grover Beach covers 2.25 square miles and is located along the beautiful Central Coast of California, 92 miles north of Santa Barbara and 150 miles south of Monterey. Grover Beach provides for a unique quality of life for over 13,000 residents and draws tourists with its moderate coastal climate, drive-on beach, and diverse recreational opportunities. Activities such as dune hiking, fishing, clamming, golfing, horseback riding, wine tasting and off-road vehicle riding are just some of the activities offered in and around Grover Beach. The beach and sand dune recreation area attracts over 1 million visitors a year and provides outstanding recreation opportunities for off-highway enthusiasts.

Los Osos

Los OsosBlessed with spectacular natural beauty on all sides and literally surrounded by thousands of acres of State Parks, nature preserves, historical sites, agricultural open space and State Reserves. Los Osos/Baywood Park is far off the beaten tourist track and offers numerous opportunities for those who love the outdoors! Enjoy golfing, nature hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, bicycling, camping, sport fishing, whale watching & sailboarding as well as our weekly Farmers' Market!

Morro Bay

Morro BayCome visit us and watch white sails dot the horizon as your gaze takes you westward. What a great getaway from the urban existence. Here natural beauty surrounds you: ocean, mountains, rich rolling hills--and then there's our beautiful harbor and the magnificent Morro Rock. Morro Bay is a wonderful place to kick back, relax, enjoy each other, and walk on the beach. There's always lots to do: an 18-hole championship seaside golf course, boating, surfing, kayaking, deep sea fishing (we now sell yearly and daily sport fishing licenses at the Visitor's Center!), biking, hiking, bird watching and just taking it easy and unwinding. And don't forget our great local wines. You'll experience a wide selection of accommodations from downright luxurious to completely affordable, and we're known for first class restaurants. If you love seafood you simply have to pay a visit.

Paso Robles

Paso RoblesAs you read about Paso Robles and either plan a trip or stop by to visit, I hope your experience is a memorable one. Take a stroll through downtown, dine at one of the many quality restaurants, peek inside the antique stores, taste the extraordinary variety of wines, soak in the mineral baths, or come for a special event. Whatever you do, or wherever you go, you'll find friendly people and a community that strongly embraces its western heritage. Some even say a visit here is like a delightful step back in time. We invite you to "come as you are", relax, rejuvenate and enjoy all that our town and surrounding area has to offer. We pride ourselves on our hospitality and love to chat with our visitors. If you need directions, all you have to do is ask. If you need suggestions, we've got those too. Paso Robles is a neighborhood of volunteers and hard working folks that know how to work and best of all, know how to play. From the "Biggest Little Fair Anywhere" to the annual "Wine Festival" there is something for everyone. Thank you for visiting. We hope you make a few discoveries of your own and will come stay with us again. Most of all, we sincerely trust that your experience in our little part of the world was a pleasant and memorable one.

Pismo & Shell Beach

Pismo & Shell BeachOffering long white beaches for a pleasant stroll or for just enjoying the spectacular views of the Pismo/Shell Beach sunset. Prefer a more active vacation? You can golf, hit the dunes for four-wheeling ATV's, horseback riding, surfing, body boarding, or fishing from a 1200-foot pier. Watch spectacular sunsets from our award-winning boardwalk adjacent to the pier.

San Luis Obispo

San Luis ObispoSan Luis Obispo's downtown scene is every bit the destination spot. It is one of the few places in California where intimate designer boutiques set the mood, and corporate chains are merely background fixtures. Walking around the streets, you will experience a sense of the European-style culture that is quaint, exciting, and inviting. If you get tired of the bustling activity, you can find an escape just a block away on the walkways that guide along San Luis Creek, or have your choice of the eateries that offer outside dining that overlook the waterway and Mission courtyard. Don't miss the Thursday Farmers market!

San Miguel

San MiguelJust north of Paso Robles visitors enjoy the historic gem of San Miguel Arcangel (or San Miguel Archangel) the 16th California mission founded in 1797 tracing the El Camino Real trail. This rural treasure hasn't changed much during the past centuries. Unfortuanately, due to earthquake damage, the Mission is temporarily closed to visitors, but the grounds and outbuildings, including a delightful museum shop, are educational treasures not to be missed. In the surrounding hillsides you'll find rows and rows of vineyards, almond trees, and horse and cattle ranches reminding us of an all but forgotten way of life. Many new vineryards and wineries are popping up here, some with tasting rooms. The winding roads are perfect for bicycle rides in the country.

San Simeon

San SimeonIt isn't accurate to say that San Simeon would not exist if it were not for William Randolph Hearst. It is close however. Perhaps the most famous piece of Hearst real estate is La Cuesta Encantada; Spanish for The Enchanted Hill.. After the death of William Randolph Hearst in 1951, it was deeded to the State of California and is now a tourist attraction. Mr. Hearst's fortune came from the publishing industry and with it he embarked upon a mission to create a US castle that would rival those found in Europe. Hearst Castle, officially known by the State of California as the "Hearst State Historical Monument at San Simeon" was the scene of many extravagant gatherings that included many of the rich and famous from world & national government, politics and show business. Hundreds of legendary figures joined Mr. Hearst on La Cuesta Encantada. Most of the castle's and grounds and architecture was designed by San Francisco architect Julia Morgan. While lodging dominates this strip town, San Simeon has many fine restaurants, gift shops, and miles of raw unspoiled beaches. Recreational resources include famous Pico Creek surf spot, ocean fishing, arrow head hunting and of course beach walking. The Hearst Corporation has been trying to push through a development plan that would include a conference center, hotel, gift shops, and of course a championship 18 hole golf course.

Santa Margarita

Santa MargaritaNestled in the foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountains, Santa Margarita is a quiet historic bedroom community. A stroll around Santa Margarita reminds you of American small towns everywhere. Santa Margarita was used by the missionaries of Mission San Luis Obispo before 1790, who built an asistencia, or branch chapel in the area before 1830. The rancho was granted to Joaquin Estrada on September 27, 1841. The post office, established as a ranch post office on April 9, 1867, was discontinued on January 15, 1871, and restablished on January 8, 1875. The town, post office, and school district all take their name from the mission rancho. The School district was known as the Tassajara district when it was formed in 1888 and changed its name to Santa Margarita in 1897. Proud of their Spanish heritage, Santa Margarita holds an annual Days of the Dons celebration every year in September. In addition to the historic sites that surround Santa Margarita, there is fishing, swimming, camping, paintball games, and a BMX track just to name a few. For more information you can call the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce (805) 466-2044.

Templeton

TempletonTempleton is a pleasant rural community located midway between Atascadero and Paso Robles in San Luis Obispo County. It was founded in 1886 when the Southern Pacific Railroad came through the area. Templeton has retained much of its historical character - many of the old buildings have been restored and are still in use today. New buildings are being built, but always with an eye to the past. Templeton is one of three unincorporated areas in San Luis Obispo County that has land available for development. The population of the community of Templeton was 1,173 in 1990 and 3,139 in 1995. Unofficial 2000 estimate is approximately 5100. At an elevation of 721 feet above sea level, the climate is mild and smog free. Prevailing winds are from the southwest and average four miles per hour. Humidity is 31-40%, and average rainfall is about 15 inches. The average temperature in January is 60 Degrees during the day and 41 Degrees at night. In July, the daytime high averages 95 Degrees with nights dropping to 55 Degrees, thanks to the ocean breeze. The average rainy season runs from mid-October to mid-April, with frost occurring occasionally.
