The election of 2008 is going to be a seminal election. Most agree that they can hear the drumbeat of change in the air. For me, it is long overdue because with the election (or selection) of George W. Bush, our country made a wrong right turn. During that time hard working middle and working class families have been sliding into an abyss. The issue of global warming has been ignored while some of the best scientific minds in our country were muzzled. The free market cowboys have removed all constraints creating a new robber baron era that is starting to resemble Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle." This is a place for AR members who are of a more liberal temprament to let their hair down and discuss the election and the issues confronting our country and the world.
