About Gerry
As a Registered Home Inspector, I believe my job is to provide you with a professional and objective evaluation of the property you own or are thinking about buying. I will provide a detailed, point-by-point inspection so you can have confidence in your decision to buy or sell.
I've been inspecting homes in the Toronto area for several years, and have previous experience as a renovator/contractor and as an insurance underwriting inspector.
But what matters most to you is that I'm a Registered Home Inspector (RHI) with the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors "Established by the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors Act, 1994."
I am one of fewer than 400 Inspectors who have achieved this designation in the 12 year history of the OAHI. I have also completed the Humber College Home Inspection Certificate program. -- one of the most thorough training programs available.
I encourage my clients to participate in the inspection to learn first-hand about their home.
My services do not end with the inspection, you are welcome to call anytime after the inspection.
On-site, you'll receive a comprehensive 27-page report with any problem areas highlighted.

Standard Home Inspection:
"This is what the majority of home buyers request. After the "Home Audit" this is the most thorough inspection we offer. It involves our "educational tour", written report and ongoing telephone and web support. Our educational tour involves the home inspector explaining everything the home inspector has looked at and putting that information into perspective, what to expect for the next five years and answering any questions that you might have, "there are no silly questions!". We strongly recommend this inspection for first time home buyers and home buyers that are nervous or have a lot of questions. Pre-Listing Inspection:
This inspection is popular with vendors that want to minimize their stress during their transaction and with listing agents and Banks that don't have access to a vendor to fill in a "seller's property information statement".Some vendors use a Pre-list Inspection to help them fill in their "seller's property information statement" to fulfill their duty of full disclosure.
A Pre-list Inspection can also help simplify negotiations by eliminating the home inspection clause or if there still is a home inspection clause by knowing there will be no surprises from it.
This inspection includes answering calls from prospective buyers. Independent property information statement:
This is a written summary report from a standard home/Pre-list inspection. There is no verbal report/support with this statement. The verbal report/support is available for an additional fee.This type of information is good for an experienced buyer/agent who wants up to date information about the physical aspects of the property but doe's not want a full inspection with a verbal report.
This type of report is a good substitute for a "walk through" inspection or a Pre-list Inspection.Homeowner Maintenance Inspections:

This is a very in depth analysis of the entire home that involves destructive testing and takes anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months to perform and can involve up to 80 independent inspections and costs thousands of dollars depending on the number of inspections requested.

Immediate Report Delivery - You will receive your comprehensive report immediately following the inspection. My reports are easy to read and categorized for easy understanding.
Maintenance Recommendations - During your inspection, I will include maintenance recommendations that will help to keep your home lasting forever and your mechanicals in top notch condition.
