HOORAY FOR GUAM INCLUSION!!
Joined over two years ago when my real estate career was (and still is) in it's infancy - and low and behold tonight as a result of some insomnia I decided to check - and there is Guam for my primary market location!! Though I'm not sure why Puerto Rico is included in the States drop down list and we aren't, given the exact same political status as Unincorporated Territories of the United States.
Either way, I'm back, and with even more enthuthiasm for this great community and can't begin to start meeting, learning and connecting with amazing professionals around the world!

My corporate office houses both a Commercial Appraisal firm and a Brokerage company.
As our website states, our appraisal firm, Captain, Hutapea & Associates, completes the highest quality real estate valuation and consulting work available in the western pacific. I recently assumed position as Senior Research Analyst under the guidance and supervision of our Chief Appraiser, Siska Hutapea, MAI. We are the only local appraisal firm that keeps a running database (10 years running) of every single real estate transaction on the island. In fact, the MLS only comprises a small percentage compared to gross sales volume recorded islandwide.
Our brokerage firm, Captain Realty Advisors is a Guam-based boutique brokerage firm specializing in providing a high level of research and attention to our clients. After two and a half years of appraisal experience, I have renewed my real estate agent license and am now operating as a licensed Realtor with our brokerage company as well. Our mission is to provide sophisticated clients with reliable service to their real estate needs on a timely basis. Our success oriented positioning is unique to the local profession. We have closed over $60 million in sales since 2007 and have over $20 million in listings and pending sales as of late 2008.
My Career Status
I am in the process of obtaining my Appraisal Trainee License, then will climb my way up the Appraisal Institute ladder to get my MAI. It's a long climb, and I'm in it for the long haul! I enjoy interacting with clients, problem solving and becoming a dependable member of a already very successful team. I can only hope to improve my standing and position within the company and promote the same core values that the Captain Real Estate Group has provided for over 10 years now.
