About Us:
HABITEC HOME AND BUILDING INSPECTIONS, LLC, is a full service Residential and Commercial Building Inspections company with Environmental Services for mold testing and evaluations, radon testing and water quality analysis. We have three inspectors who are trained, tested, licensed, insured and experienced! Richard Acree, President, has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering and a Masters of Science in Business Administration. Ron Rittiner, Chief Inspector and Business Manager at HABITEC, has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Richard and Ron were trained as Home Inspectors by the ITA/Kaplan Training Institute. Also working at HABITEC is Rick Cozby, formerly of House Sense. Rick has over 14 years as a Home Inspector in Middle Tennessee and has inspected over 4000 homes!

Areas of Expertise
Residential home inspections are available for single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums. Commercial building inspections are available for apartment buildings, industrial distribution centers, office buildings, retail centers, recreational clubhouse facilities and more. Environmental services include mold inspections and mold evaluations, radon testing and water quality analysis. Mold evaluations involve mold inspections/surveys and sampling with laboratory analysis to complete the mold evaluation. Radon testing is completed on site with a Continuous Radon Monitor. No need to ship cannisters to a lab where they may get damaged or contaminated. Water quality analysis is mostly completed on site. A laboratory analysis is available should there be an on-site indication of an issue.
