Hallo, Guten Tag, my name is Christoph Schweiger
I am a native of Austria and grew up working in my family’s vineyard where I learned a thing or two about wine, and also worked in our “Heurigen”. With this background I was naturally drawn to the hospitality industry, and attended the Institut Hotelier Cesar Ritz – Switzerland. I graduated in 1996 with a Diploma in Hotel Management, then moved to Phoenix in 1997 on an executive management program exchange. The temporary move to America became permanent when I met and married Blair, a fifth generation Arizonan.
As a full-time REALTOR®, I am dedicated to facilitating transactions and making a living in a field I thought I never would get into. But as with everything in life, things never happen as planned, and I am glad my life has taken a new path. My web site, HistoricModern.com, reflects my interest in both historic and modern Arizona properties.
The story behind the oxymoron "HistoricModern" lies in my personal belief that there is an element in both Modern and Historic homes that makes them unique. A house built in 1891 that has survived the years in our harsh Arizona desert will come with many features that are charming and unique. This concept is coupled with the idea that Modern Architecture of today will be present in our Historic homes of the future. These structures have to retain the unique characteristics that will give them the longevity that will make them a part of Arizona's architectural legacy. My personal philosophy is that a unique home can be new or old, or even old and new at the same time... and it is these ideas that gave rise to the concept of my web site and my real estate vision.
