About Us:

HouseMaster has been serving southwest Idaho since 1984.  Each of our inspectors are trained and re-certified annually through the National Institute of Building Inspectors (www.nibi.com).  NIBI provides full-time technical support to keep our inspectors informed on the latest developments in the construction and inspection industry.  In addition, our inspectors are all members of the Idaho Association of Building Officials. We are also FHA/HUD approved. HouseMaster is licensed with the State of Idaho to perform Wood Destroying Insect/Pest inspections.  We maintain full insurance coverage, including Errors & Omissions, Professional Liability, and Worker's Compensation.  Our inspectors also undergo a thorough background check. We have a fully staffed office to take your calls, answer questions, and book inspections.  We understand the time-constraints involved in the real estate transaction, and can usually provide 1-3 day service in the Treasure Valley.  Our reports are very thorough, and include digital photos of concerns.  The reports are completed on-site and are uploaded to our website for secure viewing by all concerned parties in real-time, or can be printed on site by request. We stand behind our reports with our One Year Guarantee on the major mechanical and structural systems of the report. Areas of Expertise

A majority of our business is homebuyers and sellers. More and more sellers are getting home inspections prior to listing to prevent an unknown issue from arising after an offer has been made. In addition to single family residential properties, we also perform inspection on multi-unit dwellings and light commercial properties.  We can also perform Radon tests, as Idaho is targeted by the EPA for elevated radon levels.
