With over seventeen years of mortgage and real estate experience, I have the knowledge and expertise to help home buyers and Realtors navigate the ever changing real estate finance landscape.

Experience

I began my career in 1993 as a loan officer for an FHA and VA lender in Birmingham Alabama. As a top producer from the outset, I was recruited to form a real estate owned mortgage company in 1995 and over the next ten years grew it into one of the top five non-bank mortgage companies in the state of Alabama managing eighteen loan officers and annual closed loan volume in excess of $200 million.

I have served on several national mortgage advisory committees and consulted mortgage companies and banks on both the local and national levels. I have served as a pre-licensing and continuing education instructor for the Alabama Real Estate Commission and made regular presentations to the Realty Alliance national real estate organization as well as Homeservices of America, the nation's second largest real estate company. I have also been an active member of both the Alabama Mortgage Bankers of America and Florida Mortgage Brokers Associations. I am also an active affiliate member of the Bay County Board of Realtors having served on the Communications, Leadership, and Career Development committees. I hold a bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in history and dual minors in both finance with a real estate concentration, and business administration.

Since moving to Panama City Beach in 2004, I have worked for local community banks as well as a national mortgage wholesaler and am currently a Mortgage Banker with Vision Bank.

Areas of Expertise

With seventeen years of real estate finance experience, I possess a vast knowledge of F.H.A., V.A. and Conventional financing as well as Non-Conforming and Rural Development loans. I am an expert on condominium, condominium-hotels and planned unit development financing. I have a wealth of experience in dealing with investors and self-employed borrowers as well as years of experience in new construction and construction to permanent financing. I am a career mortgage banker and with the knowledge and expertise necessary in today's mortgage environment.

Personal Profile

In addition to my industry experience and associations I also am a volunteer for Junior Achievement and an active member of the Bay County and Beaches Chambers of Commerce. I volunteer for the Humane Society of Bay County as well as the American Heart Association and American Cancer Society and I serve as a "Loaned Executive" to the United Way of Northwest Florida. I am an elections official for the Bay County Supervisor of Elections and hold a Coast Guard O.U.P.V. captain's license and serve in the United States Coast Guard Auxilliary in Flotilla 19 based in Panama City Beach. I am an avid sailor and am a charter member of the Port St. Joe Yacht Club having served as Vice Commodore.

I am married to my wife of ten years Aimee and we have lived in Bay County for five years. We have a dog named Sally and a cat named Stashuna.  We enjoy cooking, gardening , sailing and travel and being a part of this wonderful community here in Bay County.
