I strongly disagree with the comment you hear from so many to simply just "put the deal together!" I enjoy bringing buyers and sellers to the closing table making sure the process has gone smoothly and ethically. Problems come up, but that is part of the job, finding the solution to satisfy everyone. It is with this philosophy that I run my business by representing ONE SIDE only during a single real estate negotiation. You pay an attorney to represent you in court for a traffic ticket not wanting the prosecutor to also defend you...so why would you want the same person representing both sides in something as important as a real estate transaction? Bottom line, it makes my job easier knowing full well where my fiduciary responsibliity was exhibited.
I am a strong believer with continuing education in any field including real estate. Within the first year of being licensed I not only made the first step of accalaids with my brokerage but was also able to obtain the GRI certification and the ABR..all of this during what I was told was the "worse year" in real estate in decades.
